I'm wondering if project management is a field of work that can be done remotely? The type of work is absolutely something I would like, but I also want to find a way to learn something new, that uses technology, pays well and allows me freedom to travel or spend more time with my family. I'm crossing my fingers project management will allow for that?? If not right away, maybe once I get some experience under my belt?

Yes it is a field you can work remotely..after some years of experience you can start doing consulting..companies like BIG 4 offer such opportunities. However, they may require you to be in the region you're serving for whether EU or NA..
