I tried your GMB idea. I choose painters as well and after 20 cold calls gave up. I have cold calling and sales experience but in my country the mindset of brick & mortar business is kind messed up. The second they realize I have something to sell instead of wanting to buy their service they basically go no thanks and hang up or say we are good we dont need that thanks. This might be due to the fact that in central europe brick & mortar businesses often are completely overwhelmed with work simply because nobody want´s to do those jobs anymore. They dont even care about having a google profile because they can´t even take on more jobs and hiring more people/scaling is not in their interest so selling them on aquiring more workers for them isn´t in their interest as well. Not sure if I should try more niches but damn this is demotivating. Mentality here definitely is completely different compared to other countries where people/companies are actually motivated and want to grow. But I strongly belelieve the lack of trust is one of the biggest hurdles as well. If you would get referred from one business to another in this niche here I´m sure it would be way easier.

Anyone else suffering from paralysis analysis? Initially, I loved discovering this channel. I thought it was somehow "different." There's lots of channels like this presenting the same information, but Laura is doing it VERY well. It's just that you see Google Business Profile videos, some others of her's, and now this... and now you're stuck in paralysis analysis.

I find that doing enough research on my topic of interests eventually expels the "analysis paralysis." For example, on Coursera, the website, you don't have to choose one course or certification. There are so many free courses and resources on there you can utilize. Only when you ultimately choose the right certification for you do you then need to pay to receive the credentials. Or with the Plus subscription, it's unlimited and you can get certified in 1,000 things if you want to and become the worlds most employable person lol. But who has the time for that. Coursera is great, there's also other similar websites that even offer a guarantee that you will get hired somewhere offer or they'll refund you the cost of the course or program. I'm looking into a really great tech program right now. What's harder these days is sifting through all the scammers and fake accounts and sites. Like this one for example. She isn't connected to or affiliated with this Project Management course, or Coursera, the website that the course is on. She's taking advantage of people who don't know about it and making them think that in order to take the course they have to sign up and pay money as part of the subscription and that she's the one providing the info. It's sad, really. Anyway, I wish you the best in finding what's right for you!

The certificate requires about 190 hours of your time to complete. She says that you can use the 7 day free trial to try and complete the course, but doing the math, you would have to study 27 hours a day to fully complete it. Misleading title for the video :(

The free trial is 7 days. Surely if you don’t want to pay you can get a second free trial with another account. However, for the value given in the course, it is fair to pay for an extra month.

As a result i felt that pursuing a course that requires x+ years experience to get into a job is absolutely a bad idea. It's better not to chase a course that does not ensure good jobs in short time.

Firstly, this KZbin account is not affiliated with Coursera. Secondly, it's not just Project Management you can get certified in on Coursera. Browse their website and utilize all the free resources they offer. There's also resources available to help you use the skills you already have to ensure you can get a job. As well as resources on how to make a resume, where to apply, tips for interviews, etc. Other programs or websites that are similar will also help you get a job. Don't follow her advice.
