Also worth mentioning they added crossplay a few weeks ago between Xbox and PC (yes, Steam included, not just Windows) but not for PS5 though. Definitely is a great thing to raise the player pool and has been easier to find people to play raids with and other stuff.

As someone who has never played the Arkham games (I did come from playing a lot of Sekiro before Gotham Knights though so I wouldn't say I don't have a high bar to judge game combat mechanics) , I fell in love with Gotham Knights for a bit. The first few hours were grindy because enemies were bullet sponges but once I got better gear, I started to really enjoy the game. The story was fine and enjoyable enough for me. Combat is good and enjoyable (I loved the timed dodging mechanic) but the boss fights could've been better. After the main story, there's really not much to do though since crimes just repeat and there's not enough interesting enough to encourage exploration. I also only played Heroic Assault to pass time and to grind for gear but that's it. I've put in 80-100 hours into the game but after, things became repetitive and I moved on. This game kinda got me into Batman stuff again so there's that. Sadly though it got old relatively quick. I still recommend the game though!

One important tip if you enjoy playing video games and you buy them a lot. Most importantly just don’t buy the game when it releases! Wait a couple months. Look at cyberpunk, Callisto protocol, ac, lots of games get better months after release like no mans sky

I started playing this on Game Pass (just got a Series X this summer). I actually really like it so far as it reminds me a lot of Arkham City (which I played on my iMac last year). The only real issue I have is the 30 fps. As a lifelong PC/Mac gamer I've never played anything under 60 fps takes away a lot of immersion. I'll take 60 fps 1440p with toned down graphics over 30 fps 4k raytraced any day, for any game, even story based games that are slow.

I'm playing on my 3060 ti now off game pass and it's awesome. Seriously I'm having a lot of fun. It's similar to Arkham obviously not as good because no Batman but it has a similar feel and it's got some good fights.

I'm absolutely loving it, completely hooked! Love the night patrol system, the story, the combat could be slightly better but it's still not terrible. There is combos and counters if you play it right and I haven't seen a single bug yet

When it launched it didn't even got interested in the idea, an ''Batman game without Batman'' is really not appealing. But playing it through Game Pass, changed my mind a lot. Yeah i'd still prefer to play Arkham but the gameplay it's nowhere near bad, i feel the difference each time i change character, but the cutscenes are what sold it for me. The chemistry between the group, their personal stories and even some of them is practically the best portrayal of said characters i've seen in a while. The main mistake is going to this game expecting Arkham and it's not. But if indeed was a sequel to Arkham Knight, had more complex combat instead of the same shit Marvel's Spider Man did, less bullshit skill trees and more budget(Graphics, optimization, etc), i thing this could've been an amazing game.

Just tried this out on PS Extra, gave it 2 hours and decided to delete to make room for other games. The combat is not engaging and no gliding from the get go just killed it for me, you’re right Arkham Knight was miles better. I agree it’s about a 6.5, but I have no time for 6/10 games.

It’s one of those games that if it had just little better of everything and a way more content and Batman it’ll be a huge sell and the story was pretty damn ok tho there’s times I’m questioning who the main villain and who’s running the show behind the court of owls story pretty ok would’ve been better they just bring Bruce back and he’s alive kept him for dlc story and content big missed opportunity

I had no interest in this game until I saw it on gamepass, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try in coop and lemme tell you. This game is awesome, sure there’s some things to be desired and it’s not perfect but it’s straight up fun, and we need to let the gaming industry know we are interested and want more coop epic story/super hero games, yeah this one needs some work but if we support it we may get a second iteration or something similar that feeds those wants and needs, a solid 7.5-8 out of ten while playing coop. I cannot speak on the solo experience

The game was designed to try and cash in on the hype from Spider-Man PS4. Dodging instead of countering. Power attacks and crime all over the open world city. Even grappling feels way more like Spider-Man than Batman. And honestly I’m here for it. The Mr Freeze fight is probably one of the best and coolest boss fights I’ve faced in awhile even if the combat is just X, Y and B

The title is misleading, (I know it's KZbin, clicbait is just part of the job) but the main issue I see everywhere is people are upset that this doesn't play like an Arkham Game but that's just it, it's NOT an Arkham Game. It isn't named "Arkham Knights" it's named "Gotham Knights" and you can literally look at any of the screenshots to verify this. Barbara Gordon is very obviously alive and well and not in a wheelchair. If you're looking for another Arkham game it isn't here. It's a great game where you can experience the city of Gotham from the perspective of 4 unlikely and (normally) solo characters. I haven't even barely started the game and it's great.

I believe most of the hate for this game comes from people expecting it to be close to or basically a continuation of the Arkham series. It is not part of the Arkham series and does not try to be. I enjoyed the game. I am enjoying going for the platinum.

this is weird to mention but walking through doorways... the character doesn't just slide down the wall a little bit and get through the doorway. nope, you can't touch the sides of the door TO GO through the door. hilarious but, it's annoying because walking around these investigations is boring.

Eh, to be honest it was never bad outside of a few bugs here and there that few people experienced and the 30 FPS. Bought it on launch with a few friends. I didn't have bug issues, and neither did my couple of friends. People leaped at the chance to slam the hell out of this game as soon as they could. It's unfortunately becoming more and more of a fad nowadays, and a profitable profession on KZbin.

Combat & map traversal are the biggest flaws. Arkham series had a beautiful flow when it came to combos amongst enemies, but obviously Batmans proteges adapt their own uniqueness to what Wayne taught them throughout the years so I understand how developers wanted to implement a different style to fit their personalities. But cmon, dont fix what aint broke and if changes are needed then improve on the formula dont just shit all over it by throwing it out the window. They chose sluggish & methodical over quickness & precision. Same games for the traversal in this game.

It isnt. If you like the slow pace and awkward enemy targeting then thats fine. But its fact that Knights blew their chance to correctly innovate an already perfect combat system. Thats why Arkham series has a dedicated fan base while Knights barely has anyone grasping on to it. Not all combat in games has to be similar but for fucks sake atleast make that shit quick & fluid they’re superhero vigilantes not amateur mma fighters.

It was never really bad, just people hated 30FPS, even though that it was 4K. Xbox Game Pass PC at 60FPS is amazing.

Other Batman games had better combat but this game is still fun & I'm really enjoyin it but I kept gettin kicked on my Series X, I'm playin it on Gamepass but it's fuckin annoyin😮‍💨

uhm it does support cross play im playing with my friend whos on pc and im on xbox seies S... yes the camera can be buggy once in blue moon. still great game. combat takes a min to get use too, but imo its little better then arkham cause it forces you to move around instead of spamming counter(which you can still land counters but must land a perfect dodge first!) lol ..it deffinitly needs some tlc but dont sweep this game under the rug ! its loads of fun ! and the game is still receiving support even tho they have already started work on a new dc game! they have added new files to the steam data base meaning we are getting a new dlc for gotham knights soon!
