I was making like 18$ a day ( +550$ a month) with a single 6 GPU rig a few years ago, in three months the RIG was paid off and power cost was like 70$ a month, that was so profitable and for younger me still in school it was so cool to be making what a part time worker at mcdonalds would earn by running a computer in my parents garage. I mined like that for almost two years, then sold the gpus for some extra money when they weren't making much ETH anymore. It is so sad that now you need to invest 10k to make basically what I did with a 1,5K rig, I wish I could start mining now that I have more knowledge and money, but unfortunately my power cost is even higher than yours and for such a small profit I rather just buy BTC. It's actually not sad. I'm so glad the ass fell out of the mining scene. Even if I did use my GPUs to mine I did not abuse them. There is something about miners that make them absolutely stupid when it comes to taking care of their hardware. Or maybe so many people got into it because of the money and they didn't know how to care for their hardware. What is sad is seeing a basement full of 700 GTX 1080's and flex 580s all setting and just rusting out because they were used for mining and now no one cares about them.
