Okay I've kind of long hair and did a 12 month hair follicle test, they didn't cut near the roots but an inch or so away from it, I've been clean almost 2 years now, and just from what you've said I'm likely to fail 😞

Is there any point in time where the drug metabolites in your body hair actually go away or break down on their own time? Or are they there forever?

tough to say for sure. there is little research on how long metabolites would stay at the very ends of long hair because the studies would take years to perform and couldn’t be well controlled.

Hi Dok love your movies watched all of them big fan! Hope all is well. Something very strange happend to me in switzerland maybe you know what these could be. I did a Privat test at a iso 17025 i think its called and i had 230pg/mg Amphetamin in my hair i stoped takeing my adhd med did a 2nd test it was under the Cutoff 200pg/mg Now i went for my official test to University of Zürich and they sigmented my hair 1 Segment 3.5cm 2nd 1.5cm 1st Segment the Value was 1300pg/mg 2nd 700pg/mg All 3 test had the same hair plus minus 5mm. So mean whats happening since the swiss say that only tests from Univerity of zürich are valid i dud the 2nd test in Kronen gernany (sam standard). I reed you can not do complaine monitoring due to takeing the same dose and different amout comeing out. But a haveing over 2000 count together compared to under cutoff how is these possible? For me theres only 2 results are completely different My quistion is can a value vary so much due to the place where the hair was cut on he head? These would be the only logical conclusion for me or is there something i am not thinking 1:23 about? 2nd quistion we have recomanded LODs for Benzodiazepines instead of a cut off of 50 like in germany They failed me because i had 3pg/mg Alprazolam in my hair. Have you ever seen any contamination in Hair cause of Benzos? Would you sign a paper if you sah these result that a patient 100% consumed Alprazolam with pg/mg? Crazy what there doing to us in switzerland 100km north in germans i would of bern with 47pg/mg under cutoff. You would help me so much by answering. Thank you so so so much Dok. Best Regards

Thanks so much! In my opinion the concentration of certain drugs can vary depending on the part of the hair that is tested. In the U.S. we use a MRO which can overrule a positive test if a prescription is provided. Hope this helps.
