Also I absolutely hated when he told Hala “tum inti maasoom dikhti thi”. Matlab so having a past relationship means she is conniving now? I am so sick of our dramas demonising girls for being in a relationship before marriage and creating entire plot lines based on it. The only ending I want for this show is that Hala father comes back and takes her with him and she starts therapy because clearly she is too emotionally damaged for a normal relationship and Hamza thinks his “mohabbat” should be enough for all her problems in life.

Mere Humsafar: Everyone’s saying Hamza should’ve tried to hear Hala out. He did. He did. Many times before, even in this episode too. It’s stupid Hala who kept saying “Hear me out” but wouldn’t say anything to him whatsoever. Eventually, Taijaan came into the room. *What did we learn from this?* That Hala and Hamza need to lock their door!!!! I’m shocked that Hala managed to get pregnant. The way that door is always unlocked and Taijaan is always barging in, it’s impossible for them to even make a baby. It must be, due to the honeymoon.

I don't consider Hamza a role model. I saw this article about how he's breaking stereotypes with showing emotions etc, but this is NOT the first time that has happened, and the truth is Hamza really isn't that communicative. We've seen this multiple times where he gives the ILLUSION that he's open to communication and understanding Hala, but then when she's in dire need of him listening, he seems to just not do it. This time too. He never tries to get to the root of the issue, he ignores his mother's abuse of Hala, he brushed aside her complaints unless they were before his sight (which doesn't help with trust), then the miscarriage and now here. Least he could do is try to figure out what they were really talking about, considering Hala was telling Khurram to "Leave," which he should be trying to make sense of. (But I also gotta say Hala is dumb af and brought this one upon herself.)

Second thing that triggered him how she kept lying to him on face & refused to trust he prolly thinks she never loved him he needs time to sink in Hala is such a mess bcz what she's been through both have some imperfections I don't think Hamza would have any issue with hala's past relationship he even asked her before nikkah

Pehchaan: Kuki was innocent, young, beautiful, with dreams of a perfect prince, at time of marriage, but I would not blame Adnan too. Mental compatibility is most important. He did not want a silly young girl for a wife. I would blame the parents for the situation. Adnan may be unappreciative, physically and emotionally unsupportive, still Kuki’s life is a thousand times better than her phuppo’s. After initial difficult years, as kids grow up they become the priority of a mother. She could make herself financially independent, give time to herself, do what she likes doing, and stop pampering husband and kids that much. Divorce is an extreme step in her case, if there is no affair involved. Even the couples who act the most lovey dovey have problems. Issue of both phupoo and Kuki is their lack of education rather than phupo’s ‘kismat’ and Kuki’s ‘pehchaan’.

I agree with Hasan, we give these characters way too much leverage which they don't deserve but what I liked about this episode is that Hamza was willing to listen to Hala at first which we don't see male characters doing but Shah Jahan interrupted like every single time which is so annoying and spoilt the whole thing. Mere Humnasheen - the team have created characters that you fall in love with. These 2 episodes were most enjoyable, especially bus ride and camp scenes. I like that no matter how hard Aima tries, her plans backfire. Till now, Khajista made strong responses to Darakhzai, like answering back to him, and being distressed at his accident. She's definitely more connected to him. With Dr Hadi, there is chemistry and a lot in common, but no history or equal standing. So anything could happen! These nuanced relationships are so enjoyable to watch. Rather than 'tum sirf mere ho' scenarios 😆.

Bakhtawar is off with a very good start imo. All I can say so far is, they acted wonderfully, and some of those scenes really touched the heart. Also, Ahad's love is so pure and true. When he helped Bakhtawar he did not expect anything, he didn't ask her to marry him, now or in the future, and there were no promises. He didn't even try to influence her by confessing his love there. His eyes spoke though, the tears showed that he knew things might change drastically after this, and who's to say where Bakhtawar will end up? He just loved and helped the bird fly away.

Meray Hamsafar : I really agree with Hassan comments about Hamza ,the writer has failed miserably failed to carve out an ideal character and to break stereotypes First he failed badly to win the trust of Hala as to encourage her to share her past life with him At times the anxiety is quite tangible from her behavior and although he does enquire about it but never seriously takes her into confidence to open up about any issue troubling her !!! The writer could have done it but this could makes the drama end on episode 20 or 21 The writer could have shown Hala growing into a very groomed and confident being and the bond of the two cementing to such an extent where they understand each other thoroughly . Hala could have honestly confided into her husband and when Shahjahan and khurram try to blackmail her Hamza steps forward to guard her honor and respect 🙏 Wouldn't that be better than now showing karma intervening to teach a lesson to tai Jan, to make her realise of her wrongdoings which she ll have to face due to her own daughter Sorry to say that in our dramas either a third party is shown to bring evidence to save the victim or karma and again that is going to happen in this play as well !!!! Hala was shown suffering and crying from the beginning and even her marriage with Hamza didn't bring any change in her predicament and that's the failure of the writer !!!!

Reaction on Hamza is unfortunately the low standards of our society and the expectations it has from men. How low is expected from men yet women are expected to tolerate so much more. There is a huge gap in terms of balance between what is expected from men n women. I mean did anyone even asked Hamza what he did when he went for studying abroad? Did he ever get attracted to a girl there as he is shown clearly not to have much feelings for Sameen anyway. Why are women questioned so easily with or without any evidence yet men get away with so much more. Why is our culture still stuck with these things. On the other hands, hats off to you Hassan for raising this. A massive behavioural shift is required in our culture. The examples of our Prophet Mohammad saw and sahaba e karam RA as husbands are amazing. Why don't they make a dramas inspired by those stories rather what happens in our culture now.

Main problem with bakhtawar is that the drama is depending entirely on yumna, that's too much of a burden on her. In parizaad too it was a character driven story but the side kicks were all popular well acclaimed actresses, the sound track was soo romantic and cinematography too stood out from the first shot. These 3 elements are missing here, and as much as parizaad was an idealistic kind of a story, bakhtawar is the harsh depiction of a poor girl's life with a plethora of problems. The similarity between the 2 has been immediately noticed however there is a glaring contrast. It can be problematic in the drama's success as ppl will watch it with same expectation.

But those in positive relationship especially busy women like ammna obviously would not understand
@kavi46262 жыл бұрын
Pehchaan, how will cookie find her identity, By spending her husband’s money while at her phuppo’s place or otherwise Till the daughters are not financially able , nothing changes for the women, East or West I am sorry I find the whole drama absurd , talking about identity while being dependent whether it’s her husband or her father/brother. Zero sympathy for the character They are not addressing the real issue here Stretched without a destination 🤷♀️

I think Amna does understand how Cookie could feel the way she does. The critism is not with the concept, rather the portrayal by the drama makers as well as the stretching of Cookies silence.

Absolutely agree with hassan on bakhtawar’s knee jerk reaction. I loved it even had teary eye in some moments. And parizaad vibes bhi ayin exactly what i was thinking in the end and it seems like the next blockbuster.

I am thoroughly enjoying Mere Humnasheen as well. I usually wait for your reviews on a new drama that I am not sure about and when I watched your first few reviews, I decided to not watch that show but as soon as you all started enjoying the show I went back and got caught up on all the episodes. It is a great show!

Dear Amna and Hasan, this play "pehchan" is not a usual drama of a family but many families, where children suffer due to separation of parents, wives breaking their marriages without solid reasons and men providing all life expenses with not much emotional attachment to wives....So it is a "Tableau"....while dropping messages here and there by Safina Phuppo ( as words of wisdom).... Ghar bachana, Ghar nibhana, rishte ki ahmiyat, shohar aur bachay Ka Saath, and being living alone....Family is identity...etc!!! Cookie's facial expression is telling how human mind become numb when something stuck with its mind without having solid base, I have seen women repeating and keep staying firm with what they say the way cookie repeating in with just blank looks and without much thoughts! Such thing leaves children to suffer, the way it is shown! And please you don't need to repeat " Talaq is allowed in Islam" all the time in review....this is not the msg by this play !

I never understood the hype about Mere Humsafar from day 1! I love Farhan Saeed but this is just a typical nonsensical saas bahu drama and when I started watching it didn't think much of it but kept watching cos of the hype and trying to figure out why I wasn't getting the hype...but now I give up...I'm only on episode 20 and can see the ridiculous direction it is heading to. I have better things to watch. Am bummed cos was looking forward to a Farhan Saeed show after Prem gali.

Bakhtawar dhekh kar laga, yah cha jaye Ga, Like Parizad. Seems Reality based, these situations do happen in families suffering from Substance Use disoders, as far as my experience. Bakhtawar character showed resilence, looking forward to watch and recommend

Hassan takes 5 mins to explain why 5 mins review 😂😂😂 so Aamna you are right Hassan starts as a conversationalist but ends up talking - he doesn’t talk random but sometimes we can skip. Like big pick…. I have skipped every interview past 5 weeks bcoz I felt questions were absurd- mostly personal and on their relationships

Just want to ask Aamna baji with all due respect why r u so biased with Saba qamar . I m sorry but she got wasted in Fraud drama so far . What she is doing which can not be done by any other normal actress .Saba is powerful woman she should not choose such script . No clue why u always mention Saba is doing good in each episode which i cant see . For me her sister is doing better than her . i mean saba has not margin to show her talent so far in this drama. Thank you .

I dont think talal gave any mixed signals. He was very respectful towards maya as one should be towards his wife's elder sister. Also it was mentioned that talal was in myla's class so he must be younger than maya. So i dont think he would do anything like that

To be taken light heartedly - Hasan uses a lot of synonyms when he talks - for instance - it was a big effort, really great effort, huge effort and we are all so happy, hum khush hain, mutmaeen hain and so on and so forth. Pls take it in the right spirit Hasan. Same is with antonyms 😀😀

It's fascinating how the character of Hamza has been put on a pedestal because of the immense popularity and love that the actor Farhan Saeed enjoys. It's an extremely poorly written character with absolutely no nuance other than he is not physically violent towards the character hala. He has never bothered to fully listen to the woman he has so called rescued, he has in different ways and tones asked her to not tell her part of the story. When they are newly married and she begins to tell him about his mother he requests her not to colour his opinion of her, later those requests become more and more verbally aggressive.... He's never shown to draw her out and gain her trust, yes he demonstrates love and tenderness but a woman who has been gaslit and abused needs more than just that to be drawn out of her shell. When she was given abortion pills he never even enquires about it the whole episode is just expected to be forgotten both by the characters and the audience. Now when his mother leads him to her so called cheating with an old boyfriend he just shuts her out. Yes he is heartbroken but he never is able to see beyond his own god complex that he saved this girl so suddenly all her fears of abandonment and insecurities should fade away or now he's playing the virtue card by saying he will punish himself by staying with her even after betrayal (!). Hala the character is always seeking approval all her life and she is afraid he will abandon her if he thinks she is less than innocent....he demonstrates exactly that in the latest episode by shutting her off. Tell me one conversation between them where he has tried to understand her trauma...I'll wait! It's a poorly written character and the story is now a drag but the lead actors have so much following that everyone is hooked. We are still hoping for a happy ending and redemption! This drama is doing well only because of the actors because the writing is poor

fraud : maybe hassan’s POV that Talal was trying to impress maya as the elder sister is because we already know kay he’s going to ask maila’s hand so therefore i agree with amna’s POV.

Fraud: The makers certainly did try to con us, and Maya too, into believing that Talal was trying to make a move on her, otherwise why would they take a close up shot on him a bit flirtily handling the cheque to her; and that hopeful Maya's expression.....uffff believe me, Saba is the queen of emoting when it comes to playing character requirements, she too was conned into it. Too bad the next episode promo murdered the whole misconception for us again....LOL.....they got us only for a couple of minutes, hahaha. 1st episode of Bakhtawar=15+ episodes of Pehchaan....LMAO.....Good going Bakhtawar! Fraud: Not enjoying Mayas family scenes or Shaan Kumars family scenes. I only enjoy Ahsans character, and his “family”. For now, Mayas dad being sick, poor Maya, has been stretched. Same with Shaan Kumar. Show something chat pata. This was my fear. That maybe this show will go down hill. Since it has been so fast paced. I’m loving that divorced girl from the village who’ll be Ahsans next victim. Love seeing her trauma presented in such a way. I’d like to hear a backstory on her, or explain why she got divorced!
