That is so beautiful what Uncle Sy said about his wife Christine and how she encouraged him by reminding him that he was a good father even though he was not always military. His children due to him being in the military.

Amen! Loved this! I absolutely clung to Psalm 121:3… God won’t let our foot slip if we’re walking with Him (obeying God’s word, trying to honor Him, and listening to wise counsel). My mom always said run for God (do what you’re supposed to be doing with how God has made you and the opportunities He has given) and then look around and see who is running around you.

I sought God. I found, and returned, to God Nov. 1/2023. I have never purposely sought a woman, and never will. I believe, and know, it is God's plan for some to be single and for some to marry. And, that is ok. 42 years on this planet and I am blessed to be exactly where I am now...and would not change one thing about WHAT led me to right here, right now. God bless...great podcast :)

Sadie, I had to share that the same thing happened to my husband when he grew a beard when our children were younger. I made him shave it off, and his mood got so much better. 😂 Although there is no research backing it, I had to share we had the same experience in our marriage with the beard and I made the same connection to the beard that you did. Great episode! Such wonderful advice! A huge thank you to you, your dad and your uncles! 😊

Sadie, I use your family as a modle for my prayers for my family. I use Karen Wheaton's Prayer strategies and the modules from your family as my "exceedingly and abundantly more than I can think or imagine" starting point!!! I have 3 adult married kids who are awesome but not following the Lord and a husband who started but...church hurt!!!
