You’re right he was 13. Forgive me, helmets were held to a lower standard in my day. Travis won a schoolboy title at 13, two A class titles at 15, an AMA outdoor title at 16, an SX east title at 17, and had multiple premier class podiums at age 18. Yet most people I speak to don’t even think of him as a racer.
