humans are like one of the only species to drink milk after infancy i think
@carolgardens72944 жыл бұрын
Yes,most mammals cannot handle milk proteins after infancy,as the digestive system matures. Milk was a food that parents were encouraged to buy,years ago, because Calcium supports growth and Vitamins D,A,B1,B 2,C,and riboflavin,absorbic acid, and vitamin F were all contained in fortified milk. Parents believed that including milk in the family diet would benefit even the children that were avoiding the healthy items included in the family meals.Growing up in the '50s, we all drank milk at all three meals,and our parents told us we were lucky to have milk. Dairy foods were a part of American culture in the 1950's and 1960's and were equated with good health at that time.Historically,dairy has been an inexpensive source of protein in the U.S.

Jae talking about how there are procedures to make you grow taller, it's true. Done x-rays on these people myself; very common in private healthcare. Some do it for cosmetic reasons (literal teenagers doing this, idek why their parents are okay with this or want this) while others do it for health reasons. It's called leg lengthening procedure.

Genetics and nutrition (food you eat). Genetics determine your maximum height, nutrition determines how much of it you'll reach in this life time. Drinking milk is not for you to get tall, it's for you to have calcium and other nutrients to supply your bone growth development (density and length), incluing protein--among other things. Actually some milk brands do add/naturally have growth hormones. Medieval knights were actually small because most of them did not have good nutrition, only nobles were allowed to eat meat and veggies. Commoners used to live on bread, some liquor, some milk, and some potatoes/greens only.

A common rule in China is that people from the north are taller and people from the south are shorter. I think that people from warmer regions might be shorter because if you're tall you need more energy to move longer limbs and heavier body weight.

Research done in the US showed a dramatic correlation to the height and growth of children in the US in relation to the sales of Wonder Bread in the '60's.Wonder Bread was a white, sliced, packaged bread fortified with B vitamins.Soft and bland,it was marketed ,successfully, as a 'healthy' bread option for moms too busy to bake bread for their families. Because of that research,all over the world there have been discussions about fortifying flour distributed around the world to assist in the health of children worldwide. Children who have access to a healthy diet and also get optimum hours of sleep during childhood grow much taller than their parents.Around the world,infants and children do not have the same access to an optimum diet.Genetics are one factor but nutrition may play a role that trumps genetics.
