Gosh, all of the towns you’ve been featuring in your videos are just beautiful. Thank you so much for all of the info you provide. It’s really helping us to narrow down an area. We’re hoping to visit this Fall to start getting a feel for the different towns😊

Do Research before you decide to move up here and look around up there and see first , out side of Hendersonville is nice , but homes are hard to find that are a 3 bed and 2 baths , Most homes there are 2 and 2 and under 1800 sq ft , and they want over some of these homes are more than 450 thousand .

Funny another guy that I watch on KZbin just called Hendersonville a hidden gem. However, when I look up the crime statistics it's rated like 5 our of 100. That is horrible. Currently where I live is a 48 out of 100. Is the crime actually that bad there?
@pamgessler5923Ай бұрын
Yep. Not reported in the papers much.
@livinginashevilleАй бұрын
I looked it up ~ I had never had that impression at all- but none the less looks like property crime is high, not violent crime.

We were going to make Hendersonville are new home , after we stayed there 6 times and fell in love with it . We went back just 3 weeks ago , as it has changed with now 2 dollars to park your car for a hour , we drove in downtown was hard to find a open space. As Hendersonville is getting crowded at 15,000 people , but it looks like more than that number . Traffic now around downtown area's and hwy 26 is a NightMare during morning and evening rush hour traffic as people are heading to work . The construction is still bad on hwy 26 , were your force to drive in a lane of concrete barriers along the side. Once you are heading west on 26 pass Asheville the traffic is a little better . And most people that owned places and shops in downtown , alot of these people are from Florida , as the prices are jack up from real estate after covid hit . Now people from California and the NE discovered this town . We decided to go more west 2 hours away to a small unconjested town were there is little traffic and calmness . I am Leaving Florida as that State is going to sink and its to crowded and will be the New California in less than 5 years . I lived in that state all my 71 years as I can't tolerate the HEAT . I am suprised that alot of Floridians have moved up this way .

Where did you decide to go?
@pamgessler5923Ай бұрын
Agreed. And the locals are disregarded by the city administration. They're making it another Asheville in all the wrong ways.

I always get excited when I see a new video from you up. They're so fun and informative to watch, and I love learning everything I can about all the towns and communities in western NC, where I am lucky enough to live. Thanks for another great video! If I was interested in buying property, I think I would love the Sprout community! Will you be doing an episode on Morganton, NC? I know it's technically in the piedmont, but because it's close to Linville Gorge, psychologically it feels like western NC.
@livinginasheville3 ай бұрын
Awhhh, thank you so much!!!! Good idea. We technically cover Morganton and could do that. I’ll put it on the list. Thank you 😊

Please do your homework first , as I been there more than 6 times ,as it is getting crowded and traffic is a mess on hwy 26 , I am moving 2 hours West just to get away from the Hendersonville area .

Great video! My wife and I are seriously considering moving to Hendersonville from coastal SC. Our one worry is that there won’t be many other young families/kids. We have two (soon to be three). Does it seem like more families are moving in or is the population still primarily retirement-aged folks?
@livinginasheville3 ай бұрын
There are plenty of families…. We should chat. We’d be happy to help.
@chanchan53493 ай бұрын
Still primarily retirement/close to retirement age. It’s a little different with younger kids, you drive a lot to other places (at least I did).

😆 There are four high schools in Henderson Co. It’s far from the villages. But please don’t come. Thanks 😉

Henderson County is where most families live and we could use more strong families here.

Why make this video? The Properties in Henderson County are EXPENSIVE . Locals can't afford these high prices. So they ADVERTISE to "out of towners" . It's a RETIREMENT Town. No children events, nothing for Teens. Just a calm atmosphere for the Old Millionaires.
@livinginasheville2 ай бұрын
There are certainly some communities like that, but Hendersonville has really opened up in recent years and has so much to do for families and children now. From free concerts on and festivals on Main Street to matinees in the community theater to all the new beautiful parks they’ve recently put up.. and the children’s museum.
@poodarillajones4232 ай бұрын
@@livinginasheville These "events" are geared toward the retirees, not today's younger generation. The "retirement community" rules Hendersonville . Did you mention the 'crime'? Have you seen the videos of Hendersonville's Corrupt Sheriffs Dept.? The Police Dept. is not much better.
@pamgessler5923Ай бұрын
@@livinginasheville Most families just want their kids to be safe and have wholesome things to do. The concerts and festivals are not entirely family friendly. And as the first scene in this video points out, there are those in government who are trying to "woke" Hendersonville. It's not the family-friendly town it used to be.

Remember to tell these folks who are buying mountain property...even though they love their house on the mountain that we do NOT want to see a house when we look at a mountain. Hide it tastefully! Thank you!!
