I would take Herve Renard! That would be a great hire for us! Just not going to the same MLS low experience coach.

Intl. coaches don’t develop or grow players, they do that on their own with their clubs. They are professionals! The Intl managers job is only to get results with those players. Please understand this and stop saying the manager needs to develop them, it’s silly

It’s actually a symbiotic relationship between club and country. Pulisic wouldn’t be the second best player on AC Milan without his time with USMNT and the development opportunities (ie- playing time) he had while his playing time at Chelsea got reduced.

Hervé Renard has been grouped twice from the WC. Why are fans so rabbid about him? This is like Jesse Marsch all over again. Everyone was on his jock after the first month of the season when Marsch coached Leeds. Shortly after, y'all found out how bad he really is. The same will happen with Hervé Renard.

Hervé Renard is not the Perfect Coach Type for the USMNT but he's very good. Depending on where the USMNT players are and what the USSF overall plan is, he maybe the Perfect Coach for the USMNT at the moment, and he maybe not. Example, He's intolerant of Arrogant inflexible Players, especially forwards who refuse his demand to perform defensive roles. That player will not play for Harvey Fox, or the USMNT will not succeed under Harvey Fox. If the USSF requires him to put that supposed primidone player back on the team, and he says on at Coach, I guarantee you he (the Coach) will not perform well as Headcoach. He performs well if you give him the reigns and get the f*ck out of his business until contract time.

Who cares how they play as long as they win games?! Get the best available coach with the best track record of results, however they do it... An upfront declaration of the style the team should play? Maybe if you are Brazil... otherwise an ugly win is a win))))

"Who cares how they play as long as they win games?!" And that, right there, is why we fail to develop players. That, right there, is why we lack quality coaches. That quote is emblematic of the pay-to-play trademark approach that gives us a less technical player pool, which, by the way, is already made up mostly of average suburban softies.

@@inelhuayocan_aci How we got this player pool is a whole different conversation, outside the scope of this video or my comment. National team must get the best possible result, i.e. points, with the players available. Great national team tournament coaches - the Hiddinks and van Gaals - find winning teams even in the pools full of non-technical suburban softies. Style of play, football IQ, and technique - that's for clubs and academies.
