I just hit 1000 miles on my Rad Mini but always interested in possible upgrades. Thanks for sharing.

I hit 30 mph on this bike on flat land without pedaling. Fresh battery. 190 lbs. Quite surprising.

GPS confirmed?

Do you have to buy the easy fit adapter for the child seat or does the seat come with one?

Do you think a pet carrier trailer could hook up to this bike?

@@TracyQuintal possibly if you had the basket. May want to test it first.

Are these 29 and 30 mph experiences GPS confirmed? Other reviews have it top out at around 22-23mph. That's a huge difference.

It’s on the speedometer of the bike. In fairness I was going down a small hill.

@@doingitruss9942 appreciate the context. Speedometers are rarely accurate. GPS is your way of checking.
@xinixini1826 Жыл бұрын
@@EuropaWill Yeah, there were more than a couple reviews on Amazon stating how inaccurate it was. Like it would say 30 but gps says you're actually going 23-25 (25 being the speed cap or at least what's supposed to be the speed cap)
@EuropaWill Жыл бұрын
@@xinixini1826 most people don't realize the manufactures fudge this by setting the tire size too big in the settings. If the bike's tires are set by the factory in the settings as 26" or 24" for one of these bikes vs 22" for instance, could make the speedometer and odometer overly optimistic and inaccurate by a lot. The ranger can do around 23 mph tops by most reputable reviewers that know how to set their tire size accurately in the settings using their GPS app on their phone as a guide.
@xinixini1826 Жыл бұрын
@@EuropaWill I agree. If that tire size is wrong, the data is wrong. lol there have been many a video where people seem to think that changing tire size would make a RadRunner go faster. They didn't understand that by setting it from 20" to 26" they weren't actually going the speed on the display, because the data was wrong. There's also a misconception about stronger batteries makes you go faster.

Quick question. We bought the adapter child seat adapter in the link, but it does not fit. It says the max width is 6.7" and the back rack is 6.9". How did you get it to fit? Did you have to retrofit it somehow?
@doingitruss9942 Жыл бұрын
I had to loosen the brackets to almost coming off and then push down hard. Then tighten pretty tight. We keep the adapter on all the time because you can’t really get it off after that.

@@cjgharring I rewatched my video cause it’s been awhile. I do recall needing to work it a bit. Even if you totally unscrewed it… once on you can get the screw connected. It will take work.

@@doingitruss9942 thanks again. I ended up taking the entire screw out and then slightly bending the wings to get it to fit. But I got it to work. Thanks again for being so helpful.

Downhill test on top throttle only speed was irritating.....these ebikes top out at 20 mph.js.

You don't have nearly as much of a workout with cutting everything off this compared to say, a RadRunner. I noticed in your first un-powered ride your front fork was unlocked. Not sure if that's an issue or not to ride with it unlocked. The front wheel is the hardest part on this bike to assemble. 2 people would definitely come in handy JUST for that. In my case, I watched Heybike's official assembly video and the manual. One thing that is not completely clear in the video and the manual is misleading a bit, is those 2 spacers. In the manual it looks like the short one is on the wrong side. Some customers have ended up with brakes that haven't been adjusted particularly in front. I thought I put something together wrong... but nope, brakes were rubbing because they weren't adjusted right. Those spacers, getting the rotor in the brake calipers, the weight, it all makes that front wheel a beast to deal with if you are shorter and not overly strong. Some people miss that handlebar screw somehow. Do make sure to pull the stem folding latch, and tighten that under it. Yes, the latch and the hinge are asymmetrical. You aren't messing anything up when you see them going off two different ways and not "Lined up". The highest point when you fold it is the top of the seat and the bottom half of the handlebar stem. So look at where those are (after folding handlebars down) and that's the height. Yes, the pedals also fold :) Push the outer side inwards towards the crank and twist them up/down. Fedex decided to deliver it on one end. At least it wasn't upside-down. It made it easier to use my hand cart though since the box is around 93 pounds according to FedEx. Bike with battery is like 70 pounds. Battery itself is a little over 10.5 pounds.
