I think the major reason why the game is dying is due to the skill gap between brand new players and regular ones. Back in COVID one could easily go from a newbie to a decently good player fast but now the gap is just absurdly stupid and the community itself also is just really discouraging to new players

bridge during quarantine was the best, i played when flora was a map for a couple months, i was gold 3 i think then they removed it, quite unfortuante i thought that map had a really unique aspect kinda sad it got removed

It's a shame that bridge isn't as active as It used to be. I had the best times during quarantine playing this game, posting videos, meeting new people. I think what made bridge really special was how niche of a community it had. It wasn't overrun with too many players, it was sorta like everyone knew everyone. I made great memories with this game and by far had the most fun playing it out of any other game I've played, and making content outta it sorta grew my passion to study film in college. As dumb as it sounds, I'll never forget this game and the people that were brought together through content collaborations, tournaments, guilds etc. Yes, the game had a pretty toxic player base but regardless, it sure as hell doesn't cancel out the feeling I had playing scrims, ranked bedwars, making packs- there was just soo much to the community, and soo many online friendships built and that shit rlly was like a second world idk how to explain it. Even though I'm approaching adulthood and have moved on from the game, I don't think I'll ever forget how much this game changed me as a person- sprouting new hobbies in me whether it be through editing, hardwork, speaking to an audience- I quite literally don't know where I'd be, what I'd be doing, what I'd be like if bridge and youtube didn't spark my interest in making content. I really hope that new players will pickup bridge and carry it on in the future, cause I honestly find it amazing how such a simplistic game can be so complex and overrun by strategy to the point where it literally feels like a whole new game rather than gamemode within minecraft. I miss bridge, and I respect you skizzy for still being active since the games release.

I had 3 reasons to quit grinding. 1. You could use some overlay that let you skip potential cheaters/high wlr ppl 2. Got carpal tunnel, or well, my wrist started to be affected by things that normally wouldn't do much. 3. The experience curve. If you started at the pandemic you gained a lot more experience in playing the game but now it's either someone who wants to start to play it/bedwars warm upers/actual sweats/cheaters. It's just not fun. It's not a balanced game only because of it's popularity. Man

I used to main bridge, played every day. I fell out of love with the game due to the massive cheater problem, every third game was a cheater, and when you arent against a cheater, your against a sweat that has 10k wins.
