Yes we can do .education begins at home.when u hear of few reported case,eg a7year old violated by a local teenager.a small protest then neighbour’s. should hold public meetings.and parents of that guy should leave there protective shell for their son n make him at least apologise to the offended in that neighbourhood.if repeated in future then he should be reported in police.so many small measures

@@suneeshkachroo politicians themselves r demons..but again we indians too want this kind of politics..the thing is..there should be some strict criteria to be a public representative and age limit for retirement of politicians..otherwise politics becomes family buissness..and it's purpose get lost nd it gets overpowered by crime..

Hi Ritu good you spoke about this topic in your vlog, i get scared when i cm to India fr vacation you can't trust people .but we should know to protect ourselves and be alert . A mother should teach her son to respect girls and women, schools girls should be taught about good and bad touch, they must be taught karate to protect themselves in different times . Law should be strict And severe punishment should be given for such incidents. India should become safe for girls and women.

Madam Ritu your headlines is wrong. I do not expect such question from an Indian who is still Indian although you are currently staying in US. I too am leaving in Chicago US, but will never ask anyone if India is safe for women. Tell me if US or any other place in world is 100% safe for women. You are asking that delhi nurse if she feels safe to go for rest or bathroom. Don't be judgemental. Laws are well made all over the world but nobody follows and implements it. So let's not be judgemental about India or any country. Choose the right government and stand by each other

In india in some states like Punjab and Haryana and a few others they don’t even allow girl children to be born and female foeticide is so common even in these days so it’s going to take a long time for the mindset to change. Effort to change this mindset from parents, teachers and through television and social platforms is the need of the hour. I have two daughters and they are living in New York since past 7 years and feel very safe even late at night to travel or walk in the city but when they grew up in india they had to be protected always as we faced many situations when through ogling, touch, speech and attitude, women of all ages were disrespected and tortured. That’s one of the major reasons my girls don’t want to come back to india. I live in Delhi and myself have faced the same things and even now at my age I am facing ogling if I wear a certain type of outfit or even in Indian outfits. Certainly efforts need to be made by all to support feminism. I need to share how even elders mindset is, even today! My daughter was doing a project on feminism and needed to get opinion of people of many age groups and when she asked my in laws, they refused to give their opinion saying that feminism is bad and women should never be equal to men even though they too have a daughter. My MIL still says that women need to have the ability of being submissive and have to tolerate men’s atrocities if they want domestic peace as that’s “Bharatiya Sanskar!”!!! My daughters laughed at her saying Daadi this is not sanskar, this is atyaachaar! But this is the crude reality! Elders too need to change their mentality. Fortunately my parents were very forward thinking so they let us grow up independently and they treated both sons and daughters equally always. I am a South Indian and my husband is a Punjabi. I feel the culture in south India is much better that’s why such crimes are lesser there.

This is going to be long and I hope Ritu reads this. I believe she is capable of understanding and taking charge: Every rapi$t starts with rap!ng animals. You guys think animal rights activists keep shouting about respecting animals and leaving them alone, not commodifying it or objectifying them, are crazy. But we are the ones who see the reality that you guys conveniently refuse to see. Every rapi$t in the world has a long history of rap!ng animals. We have seen that time and again. They always start this way and then because they arent punished for rap!ng an animal, they gain courage to move onto children and women. This is the reason that you see men objectifying and commodifying women and children. They arent reprimanded for doing so to animals who are innocent and dependent on humans. Thats the root cause. Its about power struggle. When a society has vices like alcohol, meat eating, dairy, slaught€rhouses, those things corrupt a man's mind. Men are evolutionarily wired to feed their ego and power. These things Ive listed above feed it. It starts with animals. Any animal that has a hole is explo!ted in the industry, especially females because the entire animal agriculture ind. Runs on female genital explo!tation. But tumlog ko ye batao toh samjhta nahi hai. Culture tradition economy falana dimkana ajata hai dimaag mai. And these rapi$ts come from such backgrounds. Theyve seen all this, they see this as normal. Government in India has legalized animal rap€. Just a while ago a govt employee was caught rap!ng a 6 year old child and then because he was "unsatisfied", he rap€d a goat later. Because he was caught rap!ng a child he was caught. Or else he could have moved on to more animals and children. This is how it is and you guys simply dont get it when we say these thins. We get soooooooooo many animal rap€ cases, you have no idea about that part of the world. Youd be so disappointed in this society that this world exists. Follow animal rights space and the animal agriculture industry. You will see the real world. And how you contribute to it. You will instantly go vegan. Mark my words -when the human civilization becomes capable of respecting the lives of those innocent animals and not showing their power onto them thats when human society will become liberal and leave behind the systemic issues we have. Otherwise, women and children will continue getting rap€d.

This is a mature and professional way to create vlog content specially for this sensitive topic. A welcome change from other cringe worthy NY Indian housewive vlogs. India is safe as long as your approach is correct. Children raised in India need to be made aware of diversity of attitudes. There are plenty of options in India thanks to large population. It is not impossible to find like minded people. The weirdos are in minority and typically mid and south India specially r very safe for all genders. Even north east is very chilled in this regard.

Not true.. I dont agree India is safe. Infact no part of India is safe for women. Do you know how prevalent casting couch is in the south Indian entertainment industry? Now, you would think “entertainment” industry doesnt define the entire region. But, honestly people who work there are also born & brought up in the same society. Eve teasing, objectification of women etc is pretty much everywhere. Boys locker room conversations, porn etc etc common in the south as well. Its not just about the extreme cases but overall view/ mindset around women that matters.

@LastMinuteRecipe Talented actress like kajol are very rare now. If you have talent and don't want to be a star there are plenty of options for actors. Now if ur heart is set upon to become a star it's ur own needs that will dictate how safe u feel. This is very relevant for guys too as they r more disadvantaged in entertainment. Even the strongest of Hollywood men have wept over their treatment. India is very safe as long as you know where to stay away from. It's not germany where I regularly went skinny dipping in summer in a lake behind my house like tons of other german frauen. Be aware of ur surroundings is best advise. Thanks.

Dear Ritu, I understand that these days it has become somewhat trendy to criticize India. Just because you've been living in America for a few years now, you feel that India is unsafe. I agree that there are many issues in India, and what happened in Kolkata was indeed shameful and heartbreaking. However, simply saying 'India is not safe' and implying that India and its people are not good, or that India is not safe for women, is unfair. When I read reports, I see that the USA ranks 2nd or 3rd in rape cases. By the way, I believe India is safe. Yes, we have our shortcomings, but we will improve. After all, the education you received and your husband's IIT degree-weren't those achieved in India? So let's have a fair discussion and stay on topic. It’s not right to defame the entire country based on a single incident. We are raising our voices for change, and you should too. Jai Hind 🇮🇳

While we did discuss some challenges, we also shared positive things, like how the Mumbai police helped one of my friends and ensured her safety. We talked about areas that could improve and ways to stay safe. We also discussed safety in the U.S., where some of us don’t always feel safe either. The video shows that, as women, we always stay cautious, no matter where we are. Our intention wasn’t to criticize India-we’re proud to be Indian-but we believe it’s important to talk about areas that need improvement and find ways to do better. Jai Hind 🇮🇳🙏

Ritu, I am disappointed by this video. It appears you have neither knowledge nor have you done research abt this topic. Such videos malign our image unnecessarily. Did you know US ranks 14th in rapes and crimes against women while India ranks 95th? Did you know that 97% rapists walk free in the US? And to rhose who would say Indian numbers are wrong I say yes. There are a lot of false cases because only in India women file rape cases if boyfriend refuses to marry. One lady in yourvlog said that laws are harsh in US that's why crimes are low. She is wrong. Laws in India for crimes against women are non bailable and much harsher than other countries. Women here don't need to prove, the men have to prove their innocence. Also are you aware of the case in UK where 1500 white girls under 16 were groomed in by a certain community? Those crimes were swept by the authorities to prevent racial tensions. Thise girls were se*****y abused for a long period and the police, govt did nothing. So trust me, no country is 100% safe, but my country is much safer. I too take cabs at 3 or 4 in the night with my kids when I return from weddings in Mumbai. My cousins go clubbing and take cabs all the time. As for godmen, study missionaries and cults in west and then compare. Pls research and invite experts before you post.

Alright, I’ll go along with your point, but tell me one thing-do you really think only India has shortcomings? What about the USA? I can point out many incidents, like the one where a U.S. policeman hit an Indian student with his car and then laughed about it. Have you ever read about the challenges Indian students face over there? I agree there are flaws here, and I also agree with you that our laws need to be stricter. But brother, isn't it also wrong to defame the entire country?@@suneeshkachroo

@@sonalimhaisekar6151 Fine, grab your passport, get a visa, and move to the USA. Take their citizenship and settle down, because India is 'unsafe,' right? And since we Indians are 'selfish,' go ahead and leave.
