Is inner city astrophotography worth it?

If it wasn't for city astrophotography, there would be no astro content creators. Trevor and Chuck come to mind. I myself, have gotten great images from my bortle 9 backyard

All is true. One should imagine another couple of obstacles - balcony glazing to take photos through a window and ground floor to add more light pollution just right from the nearest building))

I live under Bortle 6 skies. Sad. And, if I lived under Bortle 9 skies I think I might switch to radio astronomy.

@@AstroWithRoRo I’ve been flying my telescope from the kitchen table for 10 years, so that part didn’t change. However, acquiring a TEC OSC camera and some filters opened a whole new world to me. I live in a Bortle 7 suburban neighbourhood at the west end of Lake Ontario so it’s fractionally better than your downtown location, but there’s much that can be captured and expressed photographically from an urban location.
