I am a true believer in the Creator. When someone says anything about beards I give the Leviticus 19:27 scripture of the Bible. When this doesn't work I just say "get over it for if the Creator didn't want a man to have hair on his face it wouldn't be there". To go further on the subject I believe that if the Creator didn't want that hair to be long it wouldn't be able to grow to length. My belief is that all hair should also be terminal. I trimmed once mistakenly, but never again. It's terminal length now for me for I want to see myself as the Creator made me which has to do with a full beard and hair and to the length the Creator intended.

my husband wears his beard as long as he can. if we do not trim it for a long time it breaks and breaks until it is a lot shorter and looks terrible. trimming his keeps the ends of the hairs strong, and it is able to thicken and grow :)

I see NO commandment in the Bible that says. "The men of Israel SHALL wear beards." The instructions read to me on what you are to do IF you wear one. From my understanding, Commandments are when we are instructed what we Shall or Shall not do. Or Scripture says to Go or Do or Don't Do. Those are Commandments. What is a beard? If you shave before it becomes a beard, then you never have to worry about rounding the edges. In both Lev. 19 and 21 it speaks of "existing beards" Once you grow a beard, you are commanded not to round the edges of it. But, if you never grow one, you don't have to worry about it. Just my .02!

I Agree 100%, I believe if a man shaves his face he is insulting God's own creation, its the same as saying ''God i am not happy with how you made me''. Its an insult to God. I’m a man and I shave my beard off every day because I have no liking to facial hair. I see beards and body hair as becoming a hairy gorilla and being unattractive and I never want to grow body hair and facial hair. So I prefer to be beardless and hairless.

That’s misinterpreting the scripture. Understand what was being done at the time. It was pagan tradition to destroy their beards and hair as tradition when grieving for a loved one. They would pull it out. Read surrounding chapters in Leviticus. It clearly is talking about what I just mentioned. In Matthew 5:30 says if your right hand offends you cut it off and discard it for its senseless that one part of your body should cost your whole body to perish. Definitely that’s figurative or is it. Remember scripture supports eunuchs GOD ACCEPTS this decision of being castrated. He says, Let the one who is able to receive this receive it. How much less is cutting off hair?!

When we read the whole context it says that " do not cut the corners of the beard ~ for the dead, for it is the way of the pagan" . Pagans used to remove their beards completely when mourning for the dead relatives back then. That's why Israelites were commanded not to . To be set apart. Btw i have my 1 year grown beard 😁

Well the beard reference in Leviticus is a former command applicable for the Israelites in that ancient time. But now its a free preference wheter to shave or grow a beard. I personally clean shave as my face begins to itch and feel scratchy if i dont shave after a week

Technically in the Bible it’s if you cut with a sharp edge (razor) then it’s not good. But if you cut with two blades then it’s not bad (like scissors) ✂️ . But don’t shave 🪒

Read in the NT that it's a shame for a man to have long hair. And women should never cut their hair. It's not just tradition, it's finding and obeying scripture because when you belong to God you want to please Him and pray to understand the meaning behind what He wants of you. A man works best unencumbered by long hair and a woman's long hair shows her submission to her head (her father or her husband, if none than her uncle or her brother, etc.) If she's humble and wise, she knows she needs a godly man to protect her and guide her in this present evil world. Just read all about it in both the Old Testament and The New Testament.

Now take this to it's logical conclusion... Don't cut your hair at all. Don't cut your fingernails. Don't unclog earwax. Don't blow your nose. Don't wear clothes. Don't wear glasses or hearing aids. After all, if it weren't/was meant to be there, God wouldn't/would have put it there! Ultimately, the command in Leviticus to not trim the sides or edges is a command for the Jewish people only to separate them for God's own. This isn't a command for all people in all places. We have to learn the difference between moral, civil and ceremonial laws. This is clearly a civil one for Israel. Now Jesus has fulfilled the law, there is no need to set ourselves apart in such a manner that the Jews did. A final example is chemotherapy. That will affect your beard to some degree, yet receiving potentially life-saving treatment is clearly more important than maintaining facial hair.

How is it logical? Take this concept of "If God gave us X, so we shouldn't remove X" to it's logical conclusions: No cutting any hair, ever. No cutting fingernails, ever. No fixing/aiding sight loss, ever. No fixing/aiding hearing loss, ever. No medicine, ever.
