Kirsten, I have to tell you and Joerg...I became "hooked" on your videos when I first saw "Our Fairytale Cottage in Devon"! I watched that at least five times because it was so beautiful and you two (along with your nephew) were just so precious in it. The cottage was everything I've ever imagined an english cottage should be. Because you share all of your videos I have learned so much not only about where you are but about your appreciation of the country you reside in now. I know you miss Germany but you have adapted so well and I personally think Germany is equally as beautiful as England! Perhaps one day I'll get to visit at least one of these countries but for right now...I am happy to do so through you two! Thank you! Sometimes a little bad weather can be a blessing in disguise. There's something magical about having the place all to yourself. I really love gardens designed by Capability Brown. My understand of the nickname is that it came from the way he designed gardens. He didn't do for a hyper cultivated look with a lot of geometric lines. He wanted to let the plants show what they were "capable" of--a more natural looking landscape if you will.

This is a beautiful day out. Even the ruins looked eerily romantic. Such vibrant array of colours and types of foliage. We visited two "bontanical" gardens here in New Jersey US, both times hardly no colors or flowers and it felt like we were in someones back yard!! My mum would love these garden visits. If I was in the UK I would take her to all these lovely places. But for now she enjoys her lovely garden back home with roses, apple trees, daffodils etc. I do miss the rain in the UK especially walking in it with my umbrella. Living in suburbs of US, there is little walkability as we are in and out of cars mostly, and it does not rain as much. Growing up in the UK, I would literally buy a new umbrella if I ever forgot to bring one. UK has four seasons in one day! Thank you for brightening up my day,
