Totally relate to the experiences when looking at myself in the mirror staring into my own eyes!!! I do the same. I try not to do it too much cos it can really ‘shake’ me! It must be autism or we’re both weird lol 😂 😉

The thing I relate to most strongly is about having your space decorated in your own way. I must do this to feel safe in a place. I also need certain objects around me. No song can be appreciated if you just listen to it once, it’s much better to really listen to it several times and learn if you love it or not. I don’t believe that it’s weird to want to feel safe where you spend the most time or to appreciate your music. If that’s autism then there’s a huge number of people missing out. You’re very brave in your willingness to share these things with us. I find it hugely comforting to watch your videos because you seem so normal, sometimes you read books by autistic people and they have done extraordinary things or they have amazing abilities and, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure you have extraordinary things about you or achievements but you’re not focusing on those and it makes you very relatable when I am just trying to get through life a day at a time. I look forward to your next video, thank you for this one.

I do the same thing with watching stuff too!! I found that when I’m uncontrollably happy while watching alone I end up hand flapping. Edit: Also tragic endings to movies, games, books, etc, have always deeply affected me so deeply I’d be crying for half an hour and/or be depressed for hours.

As a kid, I would read tear-jerkers over and over, taking breaks from reading to cry. I remember Where the Red Fern Grows being on frequent rotation for a while. Totally normal kid thing, right?! I could probably tell anyone a lot more about the books I read as a child than any of my other experiences back then. They were my comfort and my escape.

One of my big interests is in archive (historical) TV and within that I take a great interest in all the actors, not just the well-known ones. I can identify many of these "minor" actors and what else they've featured in. There can be a great sense of recognition in spotting one of these in another show, almost like the way many people react to seeing an old friend or someone else they know. Most TV viewers never look at the cast list and don't care who wrote or directed an episode unless it was a "big name". Autistic viewers are maybe more likely to notice or care about these details. Other autists have no great interest in film / TV but may be fascinated by the details of other things that interest them.

I am both, and relate to all of them so evidence is inconclusive. All except for the toilet paper bowl because I cannot stand wet toilet paper it makes me want to gag, but it is really random and did make me laugh

I just gotta disagree with the premise of "you're not weird". I'm super weird, and that's a good thing :) Great video again. Also, had no idea people don't see their memories like that. It's like playing a 3rd person game for me.
