I had to polish the detent track on mine. That satin finish really grabs onto the detent ball. A dremel and some qtip heads with polishing compound helped a lot more than new bearings. I know most people don't want to do that but it definitely helps

I just use kpl heavy on the detent ball. Then hold the lockbar down and ope/close the knife. It wears in pretty quickly

Cool knife, always good to tinker a bit and get it to where you want it. Don't mind centering as long as it's really close but it can be a bothersome to some and as much as I like smooth action a more secure lockup is more important to me. I love videos like this. It’s nice to see that even with expensive knifes things aren’t always perfect and a lot of fine tuning is required and sometimes one has to accept a compromise between a perfectly centered blade, action and play. Sometimes you can’t have everything.

On the thumb nail picture the knife is centered, it’s the grind that’s off. The angle is steeper on one side, the right side has a steeper angle from spine to tip. The left side is straighter to the spine, shallower angle. Check it

I have a street liberation I bought new in full ti about a month ago and it’s a great knife. Perfect centering and really smooth action as well. I’m not really into the new Sangre flippers. I like the older versions better with the micarta inlays, I just think they looked better imo and I wish I could find one for sale but it’s like they have vanished off the face of the earth as I haven’t seen one on the secondary market forever!

A little jimping on the flipper would go a long way. That's the only thing I don't like about mine. I did take a ceramic rod to the corners because they were too sharp and now it's a lot more comfortable.

You need one of those tools you get with a cellphone that's used to remove the sim card slot, they work the best for removing those tiny washers.

Where do you get bearings for knives? And how do you know which ones to get. I have a knife I took apart and my dog jumped up next to me while I was doing the cleaning. Lost bearing. Dog was outside while I was doing it. The wife came home from the store and let him in.

Skiff bearings but you could reach out to the brand and ask for replacement

I usually do it after just put a little on the ball. I don’t like putting any in thr hole directly. Too much lube gums up the knife and makes a mess

@@LeftyEDC yes I agree I just would have to have it modded and then I'm in for like four or five hundo. Not sure it's worth it at that point. Not even sure if knife moders does choiles
