I'd like to analyze this story a bit, so I'm going to go over the little things I noticed here. For a brief moment at 0:17, you can see that the woman (I believe she's the boy's mother) is wearing completely different clothes. The people around her are "blind" to what she is. She's also paler, even before the transition, and I believe this implies that she is not human (the boy became aware of this after his father died and he was no longer "blind" to her façade). At 0:26, the black ink implies that the goldfish died, and he's the only one that seems to care that the goldfish is dead. I believe that the goldfish is symbolism for how people behaved when his father died. He was the only one that cared (or noticed) that his father was dead. The woman's hands shaking at 0:30 when presenting him the scissors means this may have been the incident where he got the scar on his face (the next scene shows the boy as an adult with a scar across his nose). The scissors influence whoever possesses, creating someone inhuman and eerily happy. I believe the woman wanted him to be happy again, so she wanted him to take the scissors. I'd also like to mention how the boy is holding himself in this scene. He was wishing that he was holding the goldfish, and since the goldfish is symbolism for his father, he wanted his father back (more than usual due to the stress of the situation). After looking at everyone's reactions, I believe that nobody remembers the father because the woman erased their memory of him so the happy façade could continue. This is why the boy is seen frowning in so many shots. He's the only one who remembers his father, so he distances himself from the others. I believe that the scar on his face also has symbolism. The scar represents that the woman forced him to become what he is now. So, while the boy is now carefree and happy, it wasn't his choice.

0:22 I'd like to point this out because I have a little theory for its symbolism. Earlier we see the boy smiling, but when an image of a man with a doctor's kit fades in, the picture changes. There are more people surrounding the woman, most likely the boy's mother, and the boy is sadder. We also see that same doctor glitch out, and in this we see that the "Local Doctor was beaten to death by a drunk patient.". So, the man may have been his father, and he was beaten to death by a patient. This spread across the town/city/county (possibly?) and more people took sympathy on the woman and her son and turned up at their barber shop. The goldfish that we see a lot is a similar color to the doctor's hair, so perhaps the goldfish is a symbolism for him. The boy seems concerned about the goldfish, so we can tell that he cared about his father. At 0:28, his mother shows him some scissors, which I think is her way of telling him to take up work in the shop. After everything, she keeps up this happy facade and when her son doesn't comply, she hurts him (hence the scar across his nose and the next image we see where she is holding up the scissors). At 0:17, his mother is in a set of new, fancier clothes (possibly from all the money she has) and the people around her are dressed in similar fashions. His mother has some kind of veil on, often worn as a sign of mourning, and the other people, probably customers, have blindfolds on. The veil could suggest that she is faking her mourning for money and the people around her, except her son, are blind to this facade and continue to support this apparently grieving mother and her son by coming to her barber shop and maybe even working there, which would explain why they are wearing blue, white and red which are colours found in these signs "💈" which are on hairdressers' and barbers' buildings.

Theory: So y'all know the doctor that took Wendell's eyes? This looks like it might be his son. So he looks like he can see reality a bit differently. This may be why the doctor wanted Wendell's eyes, so he could fix his son's. So now the doctor is dead, and his son is suffering from this weird paranormal activity.
