Visited a Chloe's when I went to NYC last year. Wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped to be. Although some of the dishes looked pretty good here, 78$ for that is ludicrous. Glad you enjoyed it though!

@@bodegacatx I feel you. And I know you got more than a couple dishes. 80$ is still too expensive in my opinion for what you got. I can get a comparable meal (in size and taste) nearby for half that. I also don't think it does much for the preconceived notions people have about *good tasting* vegan food being too expensive. Nothing used in the mac, nachos, burrito, etc. should warrant them being as expensive as she's listed them.

I don't eat anything sweet without coffee which cuts the sweet and makes deserts taste better. So jealous because those cookies & cake looked divine. The matcha was pretty but I don't usually like that flavor.

I like mango but like any food it is overused. An unripe mango, unless for Thai mango salad, is not good. There are mangos and mangos and there are people seriously allergic to the peel. Traditionally there are many "sweet" tacos, tamales, but it can be an acquired taste.

I went when Supernatural came last March and then last week. The food is good but really expensive. The best value is the burrito for $12. The cauliflower tacos are a rip off. I saw them on someone’s plate and thought it was highway robbery for $10. Love Chloe but the prices are not reasonable.

Unfortunately vegan food in vegan only restaurant's, takeaways and cafés is over priced. Vegan junk food in supermarkets is also overpriced. That's because it's not subsided like the animal based junk food.

David Mcgregor yes I agree. Animal based products use a lot of nasty byproducts which makes it cheaper. But the ingredients in Supernatural’s burrito are pretty basic - rice, beans,cabbage. The most expensive item might be the seitan. I basically cook at home and try to eat at vegan places as a treat.

I love what Chloe is doing but she is so damn fake. I wanted to address the killing of mice at her first location when we were both standing outside the then new by Chloe at 22nd and Sixth. She was on the phone and said we would talk when she got off. Turned my head a minute later and saw her back disappearing into people traffic down the block. That told me everything I needed to know about her. She didn't use her cute smile on me then and not when I saw her at Whole Foods before that incident. Like I said, she's doing good for the animals but she lacks compassion when it comes to smaller creatures. I even had the proof given to me by an ex and current employee. Glad you had a good time.
