Awesome adventure in cleaning up my brother's new property. The previous owners left behind this fallen down hunting cabin, and now it's up to us to clean it up. Hope you enjoy!

Takes me back to my formative years of the 1950’s and building forts, treehouses and soapbox cars out of found materials. Great memories (sometimes some of the found things were maybe not so lost). I’d love having a cold one and mane some s’mores around that campfire. Enjoy!

I can hear it now in many years time "Remember when ...." - many great stories from this 'clearing' job. Fun is good but ice cream is just about as good- both together would be better still. (Ice cream is my favourite food but eat very little of it due to health reasons ,). Loving this project.

We've used those centers for a bunch of our field approaches and we've found flashing tape and cutting the walls in four places two rings and force them together. We use a couple of Deck screws for additional attachment and no it's not easy but can be done with a skid steer usually. Just another useless tidbit of information that may help later builds and don't forget the lube 😆😆. As always good luck and God Bless.

Cap’n, once again you proved the immutable laws of physics…. 1 You can’t fill a tire with a compressor if the hole is larger than the hose bringing the air! 2 There is no finer means of getting traction than turf tires on mud covered with wet leaves. 3 It may very well be possible to build a house from the roof down! 4 Two country boys with a 755, a 4X4 and a little time on their hands can move just about anything! PS I’m about done with the rivet stamp… should be able to send you an e-mail this week!

Mike that is interesting how you were able to make the connection with the two pipes. The entire project is something to be admired, you make it work no problem what the issue is... Look forward to seeing the 555 running and doing a lot of the work that you are doing with Little Green machine. It is a sad state of affairs when we have to worry that someone would steal the culvert if it isn't secured tightly.

Looks like a good time. When I bought my first 30 HP tractor with a loader, a friend of mine said "you can't dig with that loader." Challenge accepted. (Heck, I'd just built two house pads with a non-loader old tractor with a little 4 foot box blade.) Glad to see the little JD is still exceeding expectations, and really impressed you got those tires to hold air, even for a little while. Thanks for the video, it's daylight now, so guess I need to go get ready for the snow storm on the ranch. Take care!

If cost was the only benefit (cost of new materials vs repurposing the dilapidated fallen house), then most would never attempt the adventure nor benefit from the discoveries. That said, I admire the huge undertaking that you two went through to find out if there was value to be had. Those victories (shared by brothers) is priceless….that doesn’t include the stories that will be told and perhaps embellished. People spend huge amounts of time and money to create/capture those emotions yet walk on by the core of what makes us all tick. Little discoveries that fuel the imagination and strike new life through limitless possibilities. If it was handed to you (gift wrapped on a silver platter) it would not deliver a fraction of what happens when operating in the raw, rough side of life. Whether it is two brothers or a pair of best friends (like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn), discovering and repurposing lost value is a treasure hunters dream. Comparing that to entitled over-privileged consumers who cast aside recent purchases because it didn’t deliver what it cannot (internal peace/joy) is the stuff of greatness. Push on and keep moving forward brothers !!
