Is it 'open season' on Prince Harry and Meghan? Reaction to latest Sussex row | Palace Confidential
When leading Hollywood talent agent Jeremy Zimmer called Meghan Markle “not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent” it was the latest in a string of jibes and unfavourable press coverage that the Sussexes have had to endure. ‘It really does seem to be open season on Harry and Meghan at the moment, doesn’t it?’ says the Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden on Palace Confidential. ‘These are extraordinary comments really because it came from one of Hollywood’s top agents, Jeremy Zimmer. Usually agents are very diplomatic because even if they’re not their client now they’ll be thinking they could be in the future and they don’t want to be seen criticising stars.’
He believes that the attacks could add a ‘toxic element’ to their media personalities: ‘if you’ve got talent agents that are willing to be so rude about you in public, I can imagine it being off putting to lots of people.’

Trains are so easy! No airport hassle. Not expensive taxi to get to the airport. Tranquility to read and look at the scenery. Good service, decent meal and a glass of wine. I’d always choose a train over a plane or driving a long distance over a busy highway

I too encourage going for mammograms. Caught early can and will save your life.

Inference has been made on this show today that "the taxpayer" funds the RF. The Crown Estate (the portfolio of property owned by the Monarch) pays profits to the UK Treasury which in turn gives the RF a percentage of that money back to them in the form of a Sovereign Grant, from which the RF funds the work it does. The late Queen volunteered to pay income tax on her other income and King Charles has too. I am surprised that the presenters are being sloppy about implying something different. They should know all this! (The BBC website has a feature on who funds the RF on its webpage today if you want to confirm this). It is an odd arrangement but the money they receive is not being taken from the pocket of anyone but the Monarch himself from property owned by the Crown.
