I couldn't agree more. Idt City Girls should split but I do think they are going to have to pivot from their normal Florida sound. As a Florida girl myself, I like their music. Emmany is right on this one. The City girls as an entity are not marketable right now. Their project flopped, they have no singles to generate interest from, they've publicly one on airwaves and stated that this isn't what they wanted. So if the artists don't believe in the project, why should the consumer? It would be in the record label's best interest to put The City Girls as an entity/brand on the shelf and allow JT to do a solo project, and Yung Miami to go off and build her brand outside of music. It's a calculated risk by the record company because they're hoping that as individuals they are able to generate enough interest in them to where they have two fan bases they can harness from and then bring them back together as the entity that is City Girls. Emmany was right that all big solo artists EVENTUALLY went back and did a group project at the height of their careers. Michael Jackson got back with the Jacksons during the height of his solo career. Bobby Brown reunited with New Edition at the height of his solo career at a time when NOBODY from New Edition was poppin outside of him. Beyonce went back and did a Destiny's Child album after blowing up as a solo. Justin Timberlake JUST RECENTLY did music with N*Sync for a movie soundtrack. David Ruffin had multiple stints with The Temptations after solo success.
