Ertugrul changed my point of view of islam. As a Muslim, I only used to pray and read quran but now i realized that theres much more to sacrifice for allah and his path. So Ertugrul helped many more people such as my friends.

I have never seen a Quran in my entire life, I don't even know where I can find a version of it in portuguese since it is my first language and I don't speak Arabic, and I don't really trust the internet for that, so... I understand why you say it but so far I have watched some very interesting documentaries and videos about it and I'm finding it amazing! But I will try to get a version or copy of Quran in the future ;) thank you!

I’m in Panama City Florida and I watched every episode of the 5 Seasons of “Resurrection Ertugrul.” Lemme just say this as a Muslim, easily this was the best TV show I’ve EVER watched [im 50 years old]. It’s basically [in my opinion] the closest visual of the Holy Qur’an. I'm a Catholic from Malta; just to say I truly enjoy listening to you talk. You provide a lot of insights into Muslim Culture that I believe we Catholics miss because we keep thinking of you on our terms than having developed a culture in a context away from Christian history before ever having encountered one another, and keep measuring our differences unfairly by our own yardstick instead of treating you as having developed in your own context. There is a lot of racism and anti-muslim sentiment here locally bred from the perpetuating of the narrative that we were always targeted from Muslim Empires (we used to be governed by the Berbers in the post-classical era and then attacked by the Ottoman Empire in 1565 as well as various Berber pirate raids over the years.) I find a lot of this comes from local ignorance, to be honest; historically either of these was not "per se" Muslim anyway, and most of the attacks were not fuelled by religious zeal but for political/commercial designs. I truly wish there was more nuance to the way people were taught about history as it would actually help us commune with our Muslim brothers and sisters, especially with the current refugee crisis. Do you know any good sources which could help us reach a point of mutual dialogue and respect instead of mutual condemnation?

The thing that most people in the comment are not understanding is the fact that we all know Bollywood and hollywood movies are haram. But no one says its Islamic or watches them for religious reasons whereas many people think Ertugrul is Islamic show when it has haram in it. If you watch for entertainment then that's something else but dont watch it thinking its islamic. Would you as a muslim watch a islamic lecture by a sheikh with Music playing, you wouldn't would you even though you already probably listen to music. Maybe as a Muslim, you find no benefit from watching about the struggles of an Islamic empire. But with so many negative dramas and movies especially those that show Muslims & Islam in a negative way, it's nice for me as a non-Muslim to see the truth. Movies and dramas, if used properly, can open doors in people's hearts and minds that otherwise would remain closed their whole life. Some non-Muslims need the inspiration to study the Quran and learn the truth about Islam and not the lies spread by Western propaganda. Maybe Allah uses the good from Ertugrul to lead others to the truth. As a non-Muslim, I don't associate Allahu Akbar with terrorism any more because of Ertugrul. As a non-Muslim, I see the beauty and the love in Islam. As a non-Muslim, Ertugrul has changed me in many ways I can never express. I'm inspired to fight for what is right and for the oppressed even if I'm alone. And Ertugrul reminds me that no matter the problems we face or how dark the situation is God is always there and there is power in prayer. Of course Ertugrul is not all Islam, and it's best to actually read the Quran. I am going to start my journey reading the Quran for the first time and Ertugrul plays a big part in my desire to read the Quran. My only question is if reading books and the Quran is the best way to learn about Islam, what do you say about learning about Christianity? Before you rejected it did you read the Bible or did you just listen to the Muslim perspective of the Bible like from Dr. Zakir Naik? If you are going to tell people not to waste their time learning about Islam from a source that you feel isn't very Islamic, then be willing to take your own advice. Stop listening to what others say and learn for yourself. That's what I am going to do. I'm going to read and learn what the Quran says for myself instead of letting others tell me what it says. Let Ertugrul spread into the Western anti-Islamic world so maybe it will open their hearts and minds to Islam like it has mine. Let what little Islamic teachings it may have be enough to help a Muslim hater see Islam isn't so bad. Maybe the only Quran some people will ever get (especially non-Muslims) will be Ertugrul but maybe it will spark a desire to actually read the Quran for themselves. Why tear down a show that promotes Islam when so many want to destroy Islam and make it look bad? When can Muslims unite, fight for justice, fight for the oppressed, and defend Islam? When will Palestine be free? When will Kashmir be free? When can all your Muslim brothers and sisters be free and be united under the flag of Islam and not divided by race, nationality, language, etc? Islam...One religion, one faith, and a group united under Islam even of they can't all agree on everything. That's what Ertugrul means to me. It's about unity, faith, love, and brotherhood.

The drama series Ertugul has strengthened my faith with Almighty Allah in many ways ,I very fondly listens to ibn-ul-arabi who is always giving examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to overcome the challenges ertugul's family is facing which can easily be utilise in our daily affairs of life . The love Ibn-al-arabi shows when he does Dhikr and read durud shareef is mind-blowing and I have started to do the same.The way characters supplicate to Allah is also amazing and I follow the similar principle and it feels amazing. At one instance ,Ibn-al-arabi asks Gondougu's wife to follow the footsteps of Hazrat Khadija to obtain peace harmony and children in the marriage,he also explains with examples how loving and caring Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was to his wives . I also learn from this drama that no matter who conspires against you but as long as you are on the shariat of Allah You will overcome all the conspirators and stand victorious in the end. More importantly,I have quit smoking after 19 years because I Wana be physically strong just as our warriors were in the past. While keeping above in mind ,To say Ertugul is haraam is a political and a false statement.

Listen to me everyone, in ertugrul drama, the physical touch is done between husband and their wife. They kiss on the forehead of their wives which is Sunnah. Secondly in the ertugrul drama all Muslim women wear hijaab. In addition to this, there is no such song in it which has those bad, lustful lyrics. Those songs are based on Muslim victories, on Muslim brotherhood. Kindly don't try to poke in your nose, if you cannot justify. Well my mother started watching Dirilis Erugrul and after telling me everything about the series, she got me curious and this year I decided to watch it with her (she is watching it for the second time). To my surprise I found a completely new (to me) definiton of Islam which I think is highly positive, far from the absurd depiction that North American movies have always portrayed and of course makes me somehow pissed. So now I'm hooked watching a good couple of episodes with my mom every night, talking about the story and how it unfolds and how good the values are, which is something I just LOVE about the series. All things that have been lost like respect towards your parents and your spouse, bravery, friendship, loyalty!! I think the director just nailed it, in times when values seem to have been lost in the Western world (thanks to the devil media, because we normal people want to stick to those values).

Ive been watching Ertaghul Ghazi because my family watches while at dinner table on KZbin. Mutt family does pray 5x a day. I don't see anything haram or objectionable in it. The director and writer had to be realistic so that it could connect with the people otherwise the purpose of making such a historical series would be lost. I think we must be little flexible. Otherwise people will be disgusted and feel confined.

I have watched ertugrul,, and According to my opinion I didn't find any wrong in it... Yes there was very few scenes of hugging..but when there is such scenes, then in my heart I feel that Is not permissible in Islam but more than 95% scene of ertugrul just connect to my heart...i really felt pain for Muslim ummah, I feel the love for all ghazi who fought for Islam , and love them for how desperate they are to became martyr..I literally cried during watching that series and feel love for all shohda.. Although that's my opinion, if anyone don't want to watch only for the sake of ALLAH, then it's also FINE..

Last time I watched any full-length movies when I was flying from the UK to BD and after that, I didn't intend to watch any movies. May be some clips come in front of me and I watched but intentionally I didn't sit for watching any full-length movies after that. I am trying to minimize watching movies/serials listening to music by these things 1. Watching Islamic Lectures 2.Listening Nasheed 3. Watching educational videos/reviews of gadgets and so on. 4. Watching Quran Recitation on KZbin. You know they really heart soothing. I am just sharing with you.. Please pray for me so that I can leave all of the haram things completely from my life.

I used to listen to music very much in my teenage but then I promised my self I will never hear it again. I deleted all the songs from my mobile and never played again. So it was this easy. If one wants can get rid of any kind of addiction. Music is equal to alcohol and is magic. Don't watch dramas decide it and the addiction will go away.
