i am also a timid sharing christian but a friend told me once when you come into a situation about sharing remember and ask yourself this question "do you fear GOD more or do you fear what men will think about you" I fear GOD more and that helps me share the true gospel..

papermason Im reading a book right now called "not a fan" and its about following Christ and REALLY COMMITING OUR LIVES TO HIM.I am guilty of this myself ,but books like this and the book "crazy love"also help me to do WHATEVER it takes and to be bolder in the way we share the true gospel. Sometimes other people's perspective is so useful, and I believe that God uses that to help us. I do witness and profess my faith, but not boldly. Amen the fear of man is a snare. Do not fear them that can only destroy your body but fear Him who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Consider this we have a Heavenly responsibility to declare to others how to be at the Heavenly party. Jesus Christ will Empower you by the Holy Spirit his word says he will give you in the hour what you should say. Since Jesus Christ has touched my life I've never had fear of sharing his name with the other people in the streets. God using a young man to minister to me was one of the steps that led me to Jesus Christ. After the Lord open my eyes I realized wow I met a lot of people over the years and they never shared Jesus Christ with me one time. Send me I don't know how one can say they love Jesus Christ and not tell others about him and beg God to help them share his name with other. I am seriously one of the worst "Jonahs" I know. God has done so much for me and I don't even show appreciation by sharing it with others as much as I should. I am so timid about my faith it is ridiculous. I pray for boldness a lot, as well as open doors, as Mr Conway pointed out. I try to share some videos about true faith and Truth I find on my Facebook page and sometimes discuss it with friends, but that's not enough and I know it isn't. IBH has been a real blessing with this.

You're not alone here, I feel the same way. First off, I've always been shy and reserved - this didn't change a lot after my salvation. I've noticed something about myself lately...... when it comes to sharing the Gospel, I've been terrified! Always afraid of what man thinks. I'm realizing now that I have not been concerned with pleasing God, but with pleasing man. I've been praying for boldness as well - a boldness that I've never had before. This fear actually made me question my salvation, which I know is a lie - so I try not to listen to that.

Greetings, Same here... I share the stories on instagram and facebook about God and Salvation but that is not enough. I have realized why this is happening, and it's one habitual sin that I have in my life, and also insufficient number of hours dedicated to God every day. I recently realized that one of my problems is also self righteousness, so with God's help I am working on that right now. I think every believer who is free of continual sin should not have too much fear of spreading the Gospel, because he has been set free. We (who are shy) need to study the Word more often and with much more fervent prayer. God bless you brothers and sisters from "I'll be honest" for so much knowledge and wisdom that you share.

@@nnuveohombre Brother, do not think of yourself like that. Instead, give it all to God, all your worries and anxiety and repent. Make sure to spend enough time with Him in prayer and Word, this will put a fire in you for God and you will become bold. Also, one of the important factors is that you find a healthy church, in my case I have a friend who has Biblical beliefs and he gives me good suggestions that help me every time I need it. Surround yourself with true believers and when you are ready step in and share the Gospel with unbelievers. Regards :)

I too have had many moments in fear of sharing my faith; trying to avoid ridicule and hostility from others. And it has made me question my faith in Jesus. But during those times when I was afraid yet had a conversation with an individual the more we spoke (even in their opposition) I had more of an urgency to share the truth about Jesus. A good thing when coming to homeless is that you give them some food or clothes(or something else) and then share the Gospel. In this way you show the love of God in deed and Word. It will make them cry. God bless !

I know this is a long reply, but it will help! Please read it. This helped me greatly! Reading the Bible daily. Praying to be filled with the Holy spirit daily. And fasting and prayer. Heres how I fast: Lets say in a day I eat Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. On the day of fasting, I would eat Breakfast, skip Lunch and eat Dinner. Instead of eating lunch, I would drink only water, read my bible and pray. Then from there you can work your way up. Do a 12 hour period of no food and just water. This is also a great way for breaking mental strongholds and can help with anxiety and depression etc. A few tips: When fasting, pray to be filled with the Holy spirit and read your bible as much as possible. If you are struggling with fear or you are not as bold as you would like to be, when it comes to witnessing, fasting and prayer is a great way to overcome those struggles. God Bless

I don't know when i should try this fast and pray because I play soccer and it'll be difficult for me to not eat since I'm an athlete but I'll think of a way and apply these tips and advice to help me. Thank you so much, I'm very shy and scared of how my family members, friends and others would view/judge me or if they'll no longer want to associate themselves with me but I really feel as if what you said would help me, for like a year now I've been wanting to be more open about my faith to my loved ones and others but I've tried to leave my sinful ways with my friends and family members but I don't want them to hate me because I am a Christian, (or at least try to be.) I cannot completely agree with this although I do believe it is important to proclaim Christ. The night Jesus was arrested, Peter ( the first disciple) denied him 3 times before the cock crew. Yet later he repented of it and became the first one to speak on the day of Pentecost ( filled with the Holy Spirit). I would NOT tell anyone that they are not saved because of bashfulness. I do say that to DENY Christ without repentance is a clear sign of not being a Christian. Some people are more aggressive than others at witnessing but it comes down to whether we DENY Christ, not that we walk around supermarkets proclaiming Christ. The Gospel HAS been spread in all the world today and I cannot judge a man for being bashful. Only God will judge those who DENY Christ. Not me or you !

We can't just sit back and not saying. If you've had an encounter with Jesus and know He's real and the truth then how can we sit back and not say anything? I can identify with many like my brother here. I was really timid at first. The longer I walked and encountered the reality of The Lords presence I got more and more evidence and now I can't not say anything. It may be difficult at times and nerve-racking but it gets easier the more you practice it and I've found when I go out and witness it's only hard starting and then Holy Spirit partners up with me and gives me the strength and confidence to continue to approach people! I have no problem sharing the gospel to anyone in a private setting, like one on one situations but for past 3 weeks my prayers lead me to speaking in public on the bus or bus terminals. And this is my worst nightmare! Everytime I pray on it, it's like words to speak to people come flooding in my mind. I do love the Lord, but this is an issue that i've been struggling with. My issue was just thinking how I can start up the conversation when sharing the gospel. I'm not shy, but sometimes I fear how I will share. I don't want to mess it up. I'm slowly breaking it out of it though, and I've witnessed a bit to a girl I go to work with who claims to be an athiest. I have a lot more work to do though.

I don't think anyone on the face of this earth has any valid reason to be ashamed of Jesus or the Gospel. Considering the state of mankind, I think mankind should be ashamed of itself. Jesus is righteous and holy. He should be ashamed of us and not the other way around. Edit: People try to shut you down from sharing Christ by saying "your religious beliefs are personal and should be kept that way." That's probably one of Satan's favorite attacks upon Christians.

The Bible calls it fear of man. Some among the Pharisees genuinely believed that Jesus was the Son of God. But because they cared more about their public image, the opinions of other Pharisees who didn’t believe, they stayed quiet. Fear of man is a big snare, as we are told in Proverbs. So if you are a newly converted Christian, don’t beat yourself up but be courageous! Jesus said whoever is ashamed of him, he will be ashamed of them when he comes back on the last day. But if you are a mature Christian, you should have overcome this fear of proclaiming Christ already.

Perhaps there are people mixed in with the swine who would make use of what you have to say. It is going to be a bit of a numbers game somewhat, a bit like finding a date. Personally I find it easier to share the gospel with someone who I have a bit of a friendship with than someone I've never met before walking along with 6 shopping bags in the middle of town. In an ideal world, everyone I shared the gospel with would share it with two others, starting an exponential chain reaction, but really it's more like lighting a damp log than a dry fuse. I suppose I do share Bible topics on youtube. I don't really give a crap about negative comments. I have seen street preachers on youtube who come across in their tone of voice like "I'm good, you're not! You need to be like me or you're going to hell!" But at least they are out there and not being a coward like me staying in his room....

First are you born-again? That's taking it out of context. Jesus told them clearly. They refused so Jesus didn't give them anymore Light because everyone will be judged according to what they have heard. So it's both a judgement and mercy. If you have a hard time witnessing face to face, that doesn't mean that you can't witness. Look at you tube, you can find millions of non believers to witness to everyday, Get on some videos of people who suffer from depression, or maybe alcohol, or drug abuse. Watch some videos and find some that really move you and witness right there. You can write scripture and say whatever you want, it's your own ministry, grow it however you want. Tell your christian friends to do it with you.Pray for help

I may be tempted to say that "If no one knows you are a Christian, that means you aren't". But I don't think it would be smart to do so even though it may be correct. It may be because that person didn't reach the level of faith to know what he or she can do. Whatever it may be, I think it is for God to judge, not us. Therefore if you are not 100% sure, and on this video you can't be. Therefore don't say it, you'll be better off for yourself.

That's a tough one. I imagine it feels like a "turn the other cheek" thing. He's your father-in-law, so it's probably more important to show him respect the best you can and don't let this disagreement affect your marriage. He knows your position, so actions speak louder than words. Be kind & loving. If he sees you are bringing out the best in his son, that is at least a really good starting point. Keep in mind that most people need more than just one person to lead them to Christ.

The devil loves when were afraid I'm not necessarily afraid to share the gospel pretty bold about my faith I try my best to stick to scripture only time I would mess up is it I'm unfamiliar with the topic at hand but I try my best regardless and don't just make up an answer. Also, we should be grateful everyday in a free nation, that our courts are not run like fascist dictatorships, where a person is guilty before they even walk in the courtroom. I will give you that. The "gospel" has about much legitmacy as a really bad sci-fi movie. Of course, those who know good quality movies would tell people how crappy the production value and screenwriters were who made the straight-to-video movie with Jesus as the star. Telling people who you don't even know they need to repent, in spite of them probably believing just like you or having done nothing really wrong is like claiming innocent people are guilty of a crime they didn't commit.

How nice. In other words, if you don't harass people with your bogus beliefs, you aren't really a believer. I love the loophole. Witnessing is about as legitimate as "burning in the bosom" that Mormons claim. Being bold to lie to people's faces? That takes losing one's morality, not being "brave". Non-Christians rightfully reject people who "witness" to them, because they often know what Christianity is about as it is. A religion of bigotry, prejudice, xenophobia and immoral history.
