Another epic upload. I have to say that say that you are one of the few KZbinrs who makes me genuinely excited when I see a new upload of yours in my recommendation. The fact you are good at making videos that have high entertainment value, spark curiosity for the inner workings of these games, and spin compelling personal narratives is all super impressive to me when many people take so much time to master any one of those. The vibe you’ve created around your channel feels super special, and with the amount of uploads we’ve been getting recently I feel spoiled lol. So, for all that, just wanted to say thanks, and keep on rocking it. To answer your question from the video, I think both montages and play-by-play commentary have their place, and you kind of just have to feel the vibe of the video in question. For example with FNAFLOCKE, that video was so narrative focused that finishing it with a super climatic ending feels right, but for this video-which I’m guessing was supposed to be a little more low key b/c there wasn’t any story aspect and you’re saving the spectacles for the UCN AI guide-the breakdown you gave feels tonally appropriate. In fact, in this case the commentary benefitted understanding what the challenge was like to play, which is important because it’s not visually apparent all the hoops you are having to jump through to beat this w/o audio. In summary, I enjoy both approaches, so I think it comes down to what fits with your artistic direction for the video.

The final section you did explaining the winning run was great and I think it would work really well for very complex challenges and games, UCN 50/20 being a prime example. However, those montages you do are not only unique but are super well done and work especially well for the more flashy games like Rat and Cat all challenges. Whether or not you do more explanations or mostly stick to montages, I will be happy, but I think they both have their own use cases. Either way, I'm impressed as always by your completion of these cerebral challenges and wish you success on your future runs!

You mentioned epic montages versus a more in depth view of the run, and I think it depends on the challenge. Something like this with a lot of unique parts, phases of action, and moment-to-moment minutiae is good to go in depth through, whereas something with a small/medium size flowchart of reactions that can be explained beforehand is cool and fun to do a montage with. I love both in their right places.

For the montages, I think the commentary worked well for this challenge in particular bevause there was a LOT more going on in the typical fnaf game, where you're able to explain everything about it before the montage.
