It's pretty clear from the way he handles it that he was perfectly aware, I'd say. He would be looking for alternatives more if he hadn't known. (And from what I can tell, his intonation doesn't sound like it went much different in the full stream; he would sound more surprised if he had added anything like: "Wait, this can't be - there has to be something I can do." and they just cut it.) But obviously, someone who saw the full stream/VOD might have more reliable answers.

You could have actually gotten the last hit on dark beast ganon. Since parrying counts as bullet time, you can shoot you beam or bow or whatever on the ground, then parry a bomb right as it hits, so that the projectile hits in the parry animation

I have a similar arm-wrestling story: once, I went to my hischool cafeteria with my best friend, who do boxe and have arms twice as muscular as mine (I've got noodles muscles). And he wanted to drink a soda without paying, so he say very loudly and without thinking ahead "hey, arm wrestling, the winner pay a drink" (he clearly messed up his sentence). And without missing the GOLDEN opportunity, I stare at him and say "OK let's go". He was totally lost because we both knew I was going to lose instantly, but I insist. You can actually get out of the Shrine of Resurrection easy and glitchless. It's tricky though. 1: Place a barrel a few paces away from the wall (I recconend it to be on its side) 2: Step back 3: Hold forward (Run, not sprint) 4: Jump onto the barrel, then use momentum to jump and ledge-climb the wall.

It's possible to get out of the Shrine of Resurrection without glitches. You need to use the boxes that are found in the second Resurrection room and push them to the rock wall.

If the master sword can damage Ganon's final phase, couldn't you use the paraglider to ascend, cancel it before it uses any stamina, and then use the master sword beam midair to finish the fight?
