I'm a guy and have long hair, not just longer but LONG hair. I just trimmed my hair yesterday about an inch n a half. I just subscribed because what your saying is so so true. My hair before my trim felt like wool at the end so now it's more flowy , it's bouncier and it's just been acting better. Plus it helps with self esteem. Now Q, what time of the year does your hair grow the most because hair has different stages. Anyways, I find you very kind and infectious.... I subbed, I liked and I hope to watch more
@KarenofCurlHouse6 ай бұрын
Hey there! Thank you much for your sub! I'm a researcher by training, and along to studies, your hair at the peak growth phases (anagon) around March -- I have also experienced this personally. However, many people experience more growth during the summer months due to the heat causing increased blood flow thereby stimulating more blood flow the scalp encouraging growth.

How do you recommend the trim be done? Wet, dry? Any other requests to pass to the stylist?
@KarenofCurlHouse2 жыл бұрын
Hello there! Apologies about the late reply. Trims can be done both wet/curly or blow straight (not necessarily flat ironed) and cut straight. Each stylist has a preference as I do them both ways BUT I blown out/straight is what I learn towards most. You can get really see the split ends much better. I did a few other videos on trims. Will drop them below.
Very informative. I just put up my video yesterday on how I trim my hair. Stop by and say hello.

Hey Tracy! YES YES YES.! That video is coming! Its on my list because I've had several requests for it, but I have to wait about a month before I can do it -- then I will actually need a trim myself. 🤗

Too cute. I have a question, if my hair is very short and curly, is it still necessary to trim every 3 months? Thank you.
@KarenofCurlHouse2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a bunch! No. Short hair is a little different. If you are keeping your hair short then quarterly trims aren’t as important because you are not trying to grow out your hair (and your regular cuts to keep it short is essentially your “trim”.

Can just say how to cut split ends on curly hair
@KarenofCurlHouse2 жыл бұрын
Hello there. I see your other message as well. Curly hair can be cut blown out straight or in a curly form. I am working on a video this week on how you can trim your own ends. It's easier to do a video than to try to explain via text. Stay tuned.
