Is it right for MPs to switch from Tories to Labour? Feat. Albia & Nina | Jeremy Vine

Natalie Elphicke the MP for Dover caused uproar among both parties yesterday when she crossed the floor of the House of Commons ahead of Prime Minister's Questions.
She says she decided to leave the Conservatives as she didn't think Rishi Sunak was sticking to the party's promises from the last election.
Labour leader Keir Starmer used this as an opportunity to attack the Prime Minister's government.
So that's two MPs switching sides recently - but before Christian Wakeford did it in 2022 - there hadn't been an example of someone switching parties for almost 30 years.
So why is it happening now?

It’s not about wether it’s right that a Tory switches to Labour. The question should be wether it’s acceptable for any MP to switch parties midterm? If they are disillusioned , they should resign and let a by election happen imho.
