Again such an uplifting video, I love when "random" people joins, both girls were such a nice souls! I'm a male so I can't speak on behalf of women, but during the one year I lived in Malta, I felt the safest I've ever been, and actually that's one of the biggest plus of Malta, it feels so safe and secure, you can walk at any time alone, and you just feel not worried. And for a healthy life to feel this secure and chill it's such a plus, that's one reason that I want to go back one day!

I lived in Malta as a foreign woman for about two years on and off. I always felt completely safe. Even at night, I traveled all over, taking buses, walking, and I never had any issues. People always told it me it was one of the safest countries. I agree. I also met so many wonderful people and lots of ex pats who lived there. I love Malta!

Another great video, Alex, not just in content but in demonstration of spontaneity! I liked your sly little sound earlier on in the video to alert viewers to start watching what/who had distracted you while talking and walking so that viewers could begin to see you being "stalked" as it were. You were so wonderful and generous to ask her to join you two and to give her opinion on today's topic -- a fortuitous coincidence, really, and a benefit from your flexibility in having her join in the conversation briefly. As an older woman who was constantly exercising in the mornings in shorts and tank tops sometimes, lycra tights and long-sleeved t's or jacket at other times, I never felt unsafe during the hour out, and walking back to my flat past bars en route, I was never hassled or catcalled, which I attributed to being older. It's great to know that the young women felt similarly. I felt safer there, quite honestly, than in some big cities in the US, such as Denver or Detroit, when visiting them for conventions. Great also to know about Maltazon operating there now. You are a superb source of information and always a ray of joy--thank you!

This Video was fantastic! Your Video's are always great but to do one aspeachaly for Women was great to see. I'm German and moved 4 year's ago to Italy. In Germany it's very dangerous to go out this days. In Italy the men whistle or honk but it's still ok. 😅 It's not so dangerous like in Germany. I was with my girl friend in Malta for 8 days and she was harassed at the bus once and got to many stares while strolling in the city with a simple summer outfit but nevertheless its was real safe. malta made no sense to me the several times i was there. a catholic country where very few children are born. people seemed to be deposited there, and were cut off from the rest of the world. incredible density of traffic and people. just ok food - and right off the coast of italy? paceville was a drunken mess. gozo was very, very nice: quiet, tranquil, and special. one thing i could never understand: the hotels NEVER have hot tubs by the pools. i could not understand why...

A few months ago a drugged driver ran over and killed a young Turkish woman just a few hundred meters from the area this interview was taken. I'm assuming the video was shot before this accident happened. Some e-scooter drivers have also had some fatal accidents on our very busy roads with crazy drivers. Most regretfully certain parts of Malta along the stretch of road where the interview was taken, all the way through Sliema, St Julian's and Paceville (Malta's vice centre} cannot possibly be considered as safe. I am Maltese and am only expressing myself for anybody to consider the hidden side of the coin. I would advise caution.

I stayed in Intercontinental 2 weeks ago for a weekend, never again! I didnt like it, the quality of the building is poor i could hear all the chairs dragging around from the people on top of me, plus lots of youngsters who are there for the nightlife. I havent stayed in Hilton as a guest but i visit often their lobby bar and terrace, its lovely and elegant

Malta is best if you have eu passport and succeed to get good salary job in malta atleast 2k euro 💶... people with average salary like 1k euro are really suffering in malta because of high end rents n expensive bills etc 😊

I'm really used to catcalling in just about every country, but I've been in Malta for almost 2 months and I've only been cat called ONCE!!! 🎉🎉 I've only seen one obvious, creepy stare, but other than that, absolutely nothing. As an older gay man, I’ve always supported straight women’s rights and freedoms and I would hope that straight women would feel safe and free from sexual harassment in Malta - I know from personal experience that straight women prefer the company of us gay men and prefer to socialise in gay clubs and this also includes my extended family back home in Ireland after I came out - after my 52nd birthday bash last year, we hired the top floor of a gay club in Dublin when I came home from the U.K., at which my straight cousins and second cousins (stunning looking straight girls) all attended, without strictly needing to bring thier husbands/boyfriends for protection but they still brought them anyway and it’s never any problems, just a nice normal time
