I have a mobility disability and have to use a rolling walker to walk. In your letter segment about the 8 inch weeds, before they call compliance, how about checking on your neighbor to see if they are sick, or have a disability, or even offer to help cut the grass? Maybe something is going on in their lives where they need help, or God forbid, they have fallen and unable to contact help. Let’s try to be a good neighbor and look out for others before calling compliance.

Just getting to the show since returning to a spring snowstorm here in Wisconsin. Friends of ours in Sarasota told us if you have a lizard running around inside just throw a dish towel over them and they will stop and you can scoop them up and throw outside. Looked for you at the Hooligans last wk. Our new favorite is Relic. Check them out. Great show as always! (Ride1Up)

Regarding the population of the Villages. If it is the census (estimate or real), the number is only people that declare residency in the state of Florida and the Villages. This means they have declared the home as their primary residence and have Florida Drivers License, etc. and thus the number would eliminate rental properties from being counted. However, many snowbirds have declared their homes in the Villages to reap the Florida Tax benefits. The only caveat is the snowbird must spend over 50% of the year in the Villages to be able to declare residency. If it is the developers estimate, then who knows how they came up with the number.

I was in college in 1972. Gas prices had just gone up to .55 and everyone was shocked. It has been around .20. My first teaching job was in 1974 and I earned $7,969 a year, and that included a $1,000 supplement from the government because we were teaching students from the nearby AF Base. I will be celebrating our 50th reunion at my college in 2 weeks.

Lesson plans? I don’t remember my parents and lesson plans but dad taught at the tech I do remember late night grading sessions with my mom as I used to help her grade papers towards the end of her time as a teacher glad you found the bench! Sandhill cranes were one of the highlights of moving here for us; it's like the giraffe of the bird world! and now a family of them near us🐥And an eagle nest with at least one chick🦅!! CostCo is an event, not a quick visit. Your food looked yum (Hope the rumors are true that another one is coming closer) Thought Paul would be able to join you someday for a round of golf since he took the golf academy a couple of weeks ago, but he was out yesterday having a neighbor coaching with a bucket of balls at Sarasota and Paul's hip popped! 5 hours in the ER...no broken bones, but that's the beginning and the end of golf. Thanks for a great program today. I loved the way you both handled the decision with the bench which was to keep looking until you found one that you both felt good about it. Also, I feel your pain hitting the turnpike to go to Costco. We are in Newell and I have just found it to be a more enjoyable ride to go down Hwy 27 and I do not think it adds but a couple/few extra minutes but it does minus out the tolls. It just feels safer all the way around. Not sure how convenient it is for you to jump on to hwy 27 but thought I would throw that out there. Thanks again!

I don’t live in FL but I had a neighbor who decided not to mow their backyard all summer. The weeds were knee high. The town has an ordinance against that. Several neighbors complained to the town. The town came, mowed the lawn and the cost is added to the property owner’s annual property taxes! I am sure they received some kind of warning in written form but the lawn has been mowed since then!

Good morning, Jerry and Linda. I'm from the class of 71 so I can relate to all things over 50 years ago, Geez. I'd be saying far out and flashing you a peace✌️sign for sure. Glad you found the right spot for Gizmo's memorial bench. My advice is avoid the turnpike at all costs (shameless pun) if possible. They completely changed the Leesburg exit 285 and construction will continue to 2026 due to new bridges and lane additions.

The increased presence of police in terms of monitoring speed for carts and cars as per your recent discussion makes one wonder if any DUI's have been charged. It is interesting because it seems possible that a speeder may possibly have consumed alcohol.. Along those lines one wonders if there were any golf cart speeders with alcohol citations.. Hi, It's great to see how you enjoy life and the lifestyle in the Villeges. We are from the EU, where we don't have anything resembling TV. We have 55+ communities, but not the same. I work as a teacher myself, and I wonder how you, with 2 regular teacher salaries, can afford the lifestyle, in relation to the housing prices and the fees you reviewed in another video, as well as the type of pension savings you have? Is it because you have been lucky in terms of the hugely heated and inflated house prices when you had to sell the house you had before TV? I hope the questions are not too private. If we're lucky enough to have the opportunity to move to TV when the time comes, we might consider doing the same. Keep up the good work of portraying life in TV. When life gets a little too stressful, it's great to relax with your videos. We also enjoy your videos where you move around in TV. Greetings from the EU.

I don't have any problems with lizards or geckos in my house or lanai because I have a gecko/lizard guard! My cat "Salena" loves to chase them. She won't eat them. She just bats them around, playing with them. I stop her to let the poor lizard get away, but I'm sure word has gotten around in the lizard community to not go to my lanai because it's dangerous! I was just delighted when I had to stop my car as two sandhill cranes crossed the street. They are so beautiful to watch them walking! I saw Johnny Mathis at The Sharon in 2017. Oh what a thrill it was to hear all his songs. When he started "Chances Are", you should have heard the swoons coming from the audience! I'm with you Jerry with the pizza. I want a pizza with everything on it.......except anchovies! I got the scramble and they really take you places with less effort. I am always chuckle when people talk about the gators, lizards, and No-see-ums. I guess since I have been in Florida since 1981, I never even think about them. Certainly, would not keep me from moving anywhere in Florida. Even the Palmetto Bugs don't keep me away, and they are worse in my opinion than any of the above-mentioned items above. Hate those things, but not enough to not live in Florida. I can't imagine living anywhere but Florida.
