I have a friend who stayed married to her toxic abusive husband way longer than she should have because she thought her very religious father would feel a way if she divorced him. When she finally had enough and decided to divorce him she told her father and his response was: ‘It’s about time!!!’ Shocked...she said: ‘Daddy I thought you would be mad because divorce goes against your religious beliefs...’ Her father said: ‘Ain’t no way God brought the two of you together!’

I’m in the process of getting out of a marriage. And we’ve only been married 6months. The deal breaker is I’m 35weeks pregnant with our first child and he has been unfaithful while I’ve been pregnant. So take this advice to heart because it’s so true what he says. It’s the hardest thing to leave someone you invested in. But when you’ve put up with enough that’s it..
@b.tabati9114 жыл бұрын
Sister.... when all is said and done... and you have got some coaching or counselling and get understanding... it will be well worth it and you will actually be doing your kid a favour by leaving instead of staying in a toxic relationship. Tony is hitting bullseye🎯 in everything that he is saying... if I had this information and wisdoms over two decades ago... wow... God knows where I would have been. But don’t look back. It’s not worth becoming like Lot’s wife. You will make it. Yes, it is painful at first, but you will get through it. Pick your head up and run with what God has for you. When I first wanted to get divorced, I stayed in it and ended up getting stuck, cause my sister said I should stay, just because the man was crying and begging for me to stay. Don’t be distracted by what others have to say. Listen to Tony. He is talking truth! AND REMEMBER, IT IS UNLIKELY THAT THEY WILL BE CHANGED... BE CAREFUL OF THE HOOVERING AS WELL. ... THEY WILL EVEN USE THEIR CHILDREN TO GET THEIR WAY. Unfortunately, they have no self-respect, so how on earth can they have respect for you??? STAND STRONG... I even ended up relocating... smh... DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO BUT STAND STRONG - You can do it. Huge hug from me🤗

Since I’ve left I’ve drawn closer to The Lord, my children are flourishing and we are at peace... He was the type to use the Bible as a weapon. Know your self worth, God made you to be perfect! You are already perfect, whole and complete. Don’t let your spouse/boyfriend/partner bring you down to their level of pain and suffering. If you need to heal the pain and hurt to understand and accept your self worth, then do the inner healing. You are taken care of by God, you are supported and protected by God. Always remember you must take care of yourself holistically, meaning emotionally spiritually mentally and physically before you connect with others. This should be a daily commitment🙏🏼

These are nothing but FACTS!!! Being"religious" got me into and kept me in bondage of an abusive marriage, by the grace of God it pushed me into a more spiritual relationship with GOD which lead me right on out of that mess... God is a jealous God and anything we put ahead of him won't work. When we are dealing with toxicity in relationships is extremely difficult to give God the focus because all of our attention is on "making it work". My belief is when you seek him first he will absolutely lead you out of that situation you got yourself into.

Preach Tony! If I could give this video two thumbs up, I would! It is imperative for us to seek God's wisdom, discernment and direction for our relationships before we proceed in our own way. Some folks can paint a great picture of how life will be post-nuptuals and flip the script before the ink is dry on the marriage license! Peace is priceless and sanity is not for sale! Cut it off, walk away and be with Christ!

Applicable to the field I just left to step out and start my own venture. Most of the teachers I worked with and knew, were suffering mentally and emotionally as I was but they stayed for their kids or because of how long they were teaching. 1 year was enough for me to listen to myself. Thank you for what you said "If you leave make a mistake and leave prematurely or leave for your sanity, you will be okay... that's the point of grace".

I am so happy Tony touched on this subject. I see so many woman stay in these toxic relationships using the bible to stay. And they are bitter, angry, low self esteem holding onto a man who out there living his best life drinking, smoking, cheating, and being a whole devil.

I got engaged on August 30th of this year. Last week we got into a disagreement and I left his house to go home. I decided to call him back about 2hrs later to communicate how I felt. He picked up and said he was eating dinner with a friend. I asked was it a male or female; he replied female. At that point, I felt he couldn't be trusted so I ended the engagement. I am still hurt. Great video, Tony G.

You were very brave and courageous to break off the engagement- most people won’t because they’ve invested all that time in the relationship- you’ve chosen the better level of pain- breaking off an engagement hurts but a divorce would hurt a 1000 x more

@@sacredspacesllc5260 so sorry- disappointment is painful- i pray you find the right one who will do right by you- i just see so many people willing to jump off the cliff anyway getting married knowing they should break up - your willingness to end it shows you value yourself more than a wedding ring - may the Lord heal you and bring you peace and comfort
@sacredspacesllc52602 жыл бұрын
@@overcomerbtboj that is so true. Most people nowadays are marrying for the wedding. The marriage starts after the wedding.

Tony.. You are my Dude ☺️👏😊...I tell a Sister in a hot minute..Girl give him the gift of Goodbye. Thank you Lord for strength to leave and live the best life ever. Tony..I experienced that same behavior in the church when I was married to my children's father. A half a loaf is better than no loaf they would say meanwhile I was living in fear and being abused. But I am free since 1996 from that clown..

Amen! Amen!! I'm loving this word because it's the truth anyhow. I'm a divorce woman now over twenty year's. I stay in a marriage that was toxic from the beginning he was mentally, emotionally, physically abusive to me. Only reason kept staying in it was because of my mother and kids. My mom like him because he was a good provider, and didn't have to want for anything. Over the years we had started separated more than once. But everytime he beg me back he got worser. Then felt guilty for leaving everytime because of my kids. So that's why would always end up back with him. But one day I got sick and tried of putting up with all that crazy mess. I know had get out of that marriage for my own sanity or probably would of been crazy and wasn't going let that happen. Its was best thing could of done now more happy than ever. I'm not trap any more people try make me feel bad about leaving. Had let them know this is my life not your it didn't matter to me anymore. My marriage was not odrained by God at all because most of the year's was in it was nothing but sorrows. Thank God that he gave me the strength and wisdom to leave. Thanks Minister Gaston for this powerful message its was so much needed Because like you said some reglious people try want you be trap in mess. That God had nothing do with. You have open the eyes to those who are blind and not knowable to what it really means about divorce You have set them free. God has really given you so much wisdom at young age. Pray that God will continue use you for his glory. God bless you and family and mininstry as well.

Ohh yes I was drained . I thought I was going to go to my early grave. Tony is spot on. When you are in a poison relationship for so long , you might even have chronic illnesses developed from that. I’m glad I’m out of that abusive relationship. I am in the process of loving myself more and be in tune with my intuition. Spiritual path but I sometimes swear lol but I have cut down alot
