My ex called me regularly and visited me, for 2 years after he broke up with me. Would cuddle me up, go on trips with me, say I love you, etc. But while I was waiting for him, he was out living his single life. Was always interested to know if I was dating anyone even though he was for sure dating around. I was always holding onto that hope with all my might but it eventually the disappointment and toxicity made me say enough is enough and cut him off. He reached out to me months later, trying to see me and acting like I was the one in the wrong for cutting him off. Selfish people are not going to let you go as long as you benefit them so you have to find the strength to let them go. Know your worth and don't be desperate.

One time he even mentioned that men can place a sickness into a woman's body and it wouldn't show up til much later and even the doctors would not be able to detect it but she would know it's there. After a year of being put on his back burner after he broke up with me for another girl (on Valentine's day!) he insisted he still wanted me in his life and that I was his "best friend", I finally cut it off and blocked him after several attempts of disrespecting me. I was once this woman giving my money to men to say I had someone. I didn’t love myself and was taking all kinds of mistreatment. But when God strengthen me, I walked away with my head high!! He kept calling trying to make it right, but I was WOKE!! I changed my number. I was so proud of myself for letting that toxicity go!! And now if I meet someone and they are not a Real man holding his own, I get lost quick!! I love me now and happy being single until.......
