No worries, I just have a few questions to narrow the search. 1) What are you using the mic for? 2) How noisy/Echoy, real word..., is the room you are using it in? 3) Do you have an interface? I assume you don't because you are using a USB Mic Once you have those answers for me I can give you some options

Just a little correction regarding the sensitivity. -33dB is LOUDER and MORE sensitive than -37dB. These are negative numbers, and -33 is closer to zero than -37 is. Great review, keep up the good work :) I just purchased the AT2035 but it hasn't arrived yet - I will use it with my Zoom H5 recorder.

hi one question so the at2035 will more easily record the background noise?
@mistaspeedy2 жыл бұрын
@@shzdesu It seems that each microphone needs to be tested separately to see how good it is in rejecting background noise. I dont think this is linked to sensitivity. Dynamic microphones (like the Shure SM7B) seem to be better than condenser microphones (like the AT2035) at rejecting background noise.

They sound practically exactly the same. The question is, can I up the gain more on the 2035 and will it have notably less noise than the 2020, or is it negligible?
@RebelTech19908 ай бұрын
Honetley, if there is a difference in the noise test it's very minimal. So if that's the part that will make you decide, then go with the one you like the sound of better or even the price. Hope this help. Thanks for checking out the video!

With the interface, I’d go with the Wave XLR. That’s a solid interface for a good price. Next for the mic. These all will be fitting with your budget in addition to the interface. Now all of these are good options, it comes down to the sound you like most. Dynamic: PodMic, Shure MV7x, Presonus PD-70, Go xlr dynamic mic, Elgato wave dx Condenser: AT2035, Lewitt LCT 240 pro There are so many other options but from my experience these are my choices. Now you gotta see which sound you like most. I have a bunch of videos on these so there’s enough examples. Plus many others with other tones can be helpful too. Hope this help!

Are these mics good for vocals and musicians?
@RebelTech19903 жыл бұрын
It's really made for spoken word and singing vocals. A god vocal mic will usually have a flat mid section, there are outliers but that's a good thing to start with. The good thing about these mics is the cost. They aren't that expensive and you can always upgrade when you feel you want a specific sound. These will just give you what you need. Might take some work in post but you can get some good sound out of these. Thanks for checking out the video Eric!

Hey bro! I bought Hd560 open ended headphones. I know that they have some audio leak due to them being opened ended. Do you think the 2035 would pickup the audio from the headphones while I’m playing fps games? Or can I tweak the gain so the mic only picks up my voice? If you think this would be an issue which mic would you recommend? Thanks!

If you have a solid preamp, you should be able to change the gain. You can also mess around with what ranges the 2035 picks up.

@@RebelTech1990 One question. I have in mind the Yamaha HS5 monitors that you recommended to me, but the budget allows me to spend more. So by buying 2xAKG C214 I could still buy, for example, Adam 477X or others at a similar price. Do you know these monitors? or for the money which something better? I would like to buy some really good monitors. That is, up to this amount, or a little more. I promise that I will not bother you about it anymore :)
@RebelTech19903 жыл бұрын
I always have trouble finding a good pair of monitors. There's only so much people can say because you can't hear the quality until you get them or find a store that you can test them at. I just go off of who uses what and think if someone professional likes a specific headphone/monitor then I trust it. Yamaha makes good ones and Mackie is another good brand. Presonus has good stuff but at a level lower than the others. Just do some research of people you listen to and see if they say what they use. That's basically what I do. The Adam 477X are good but I don't know much about them. I know a good amount of studios use them. In my mind if you are spending more than $500 for a pair, then it isn't worth it. I would spend more on microphones and headphones before monitors. That's just my style, I prefer headphones for editing. I use the Monitors to double check my sound. Don't worry about bothering me, it's totally fine. I enjoy helping. Might take me a little bit to get back but I don't mind at all.
