Yes, it’s essential to respect the culture and rules of other countries. Not complying with some rules could even lead to jail. That’s why I always say people should check all the rules before moving to a country, especially those they might not be aware of.

Other categories pls wait for the turn to come in the future. The online application specifically asking if u are crew with a valid flying license. Former cabin crew here.

Ideally, it’s best if you have an active type rating for the A321 and Boeing 787, as those aircraft are in their fleet.Officially they are only asking for experience with other airlines and an active cabin crew flight license.

You always name “Premium Airlines like Emirates or Qatar” what about Etihad Airways? You do not consider it “Premium”? Just curious! Thanks for the video!!🙏🏼
@JetstreamGinger15 сағат бұрын
No, I do. I actually call it the ‘golden trio’ of Middle Eastern airlines 😁 I think it’s just a habit to group Emirates and Qatar together since they’re main competitors. Etihad is slightly smaller, but it’s a prestigious airline with an amazing reputation and is definitely a premium airline. Actually, out of all the Middle Eastern airlines, I like it the most, and I have a video about it, including all the perks, etc 😊 If you’re interested in Etihad, check it out! 😉

Im just wondering.. since they are just starting, are they going to recruit everyone for the economy class? I suppose they need cabin supervisors and pursers too, right? Would they offer a direct entry for these positions or perform the upgrades later on?
@JetstreamGinger11 сағат бұрын
Yes, so far, there is a direct path to a senior position. You need to have significant experience in a senior role and have worked for one of the leading airlines to qualify for a senior position with Riyadh Air as well. However, once they launch operations, things will likely normalize: starting in economy and waiting to be promoted. That’s why I’m saying now is the best time to join the company 😁

Hi ! Thank you a lot for your video ! Just amazing ! Do you know if they will allow the beard for men cabin crew please ? And if will they serve alcohol on board or not ?
@JetstreamGinger2 күн бұрын
Thank you) Not sure about beards, but there’s a high chance they won’t allow them, as among all Middle Eastern airlines, only Etihad permits male cabin crew to have beards. Other Saudi Arabian airlines don’t serve alcohol on board, and it’s prohibited to serve alcohol on flights to and from Saudi Arabia, even with other airlines. However, I’m curious if they will serve alcohol on board, considering they aim to be a major competitor to the world’s biggest airlines, where elite alcohol is often part of the premium service. Let’s see how it turns out! The airline hasn’t launched yet, so I can’t say for sure 🥰

Hey do they only hire crews who have experience working with Emirates,Etihad and other middle eastern airlines or do they consider regional airlines from other countries?
@JetstreamGinger2 күн бұрын
They definitely prefer crew from major Middle Eastern airlines, but they might consider people from other airlines as well. It really depends on the airline, the cabin you worked in, and how many years of experience you have. Since it’s not a low-cost airline, I believe they are looking for candidates who are used to working with complex services, like those offered by Emirates or Qatar.

@JetstreamGingerКүн бұрын
@@Elizabeth-i6n If you visit Riyadh Air’s official website, you won’t find anything about height requirements since they are currently only hiring experienced crew. My guess about the height requirement is based on the standards of other airlines, as 150 cm is generally not enough to reach all the stowages on board the aircraft. If you Google ‘Riyadh Air requirements,’ the first response is AI-generated (clearly marked as such), and AI-generated responses are not always reliable since they pull information from across the internet, including unverified sources. The only reliable source for Riyadh Air crew requirements is their official website. Since they are not yet hiring inexperienced crew, they haven’t published the standard requirements (age, height, education, etc.). The requirements mentioned in the video are my assumption, based on those of other Middle East airlines.

@JetstreamGinger2 күн бұрын
Middle Eastern airlines never specify a maximum age, but in reality, they tend to hire candidates up to 30 years old. However, Riyadh Air is a new airline, and they are looking for experienced crew, cabin supervisors, and pursers. So if you fit that profile, I believe you can be 30+ since it takes many years to reach those positions with other airlines.

The perks and benefits are really top taking into account that most airlines have reduced salaries and allowances after coronavirus, if they pay accommodation the amount of money one can save is really big, do you know if cabin crew have to share apartment?. I wonder also if this airline is also open to hire LGTBQ people as homosexuality in Saudi Arabia is hardly penalized, me as a gay person make me think twice before applying. Thanks for the video ;)
@JetstreamGinger2 күн бұрын
Hey)) Yes, the perks are really nice. Regarding LGBTQ, I’d say you can’t be too open about it and need to be extra cautious, because, as you mentioned, it’s prohibited and penalized in Saudi Arabia. To be honest, it’s also prohibited in the UAE and you can’t join Emirates and say ‘BTW, I’m gay’ during your final interview 😁 But once you’re in the company, no one really cares. I’ve flown with many gay colleagues and have gay friends. Dubai is a more open-minded city, you can’t kiss your partner in public, but no one cares what happens behind closed doors or at private parties. Saudi Arabia, however, isn’t like that. I’m afraid you’d have to be extremely cautious if you decide to join.
