@@sridharshini3778 Yes, you can bring your relatives and friends to graduation, and there’s no limit on the number of guests. Tickets, hotels, and meals need to be arranged by you, as the company doesn’t cover those expenses. After the graduation, there’s a small banquet with sandwiches and cakes for graduates, family, and friends, but that’s all ☺️

@@Boooooooomtv Well, with such strict rules, do you think anyone would openly talk about Qatar’s policies while still working for the company? You can find videos about the rules from ex-employees more easily. Also, you can Google “Qatar crew curfew,” and you’ll find plenty of articles about it, for example. Qatar tries to hide this information because it might discourage people from applying. But it is what it is, I’m not making this up!))

@@niccilee-mnt33 Yes, the rules aren’t for everyone, not for me either 😅 It’s super safe there, just like in the UAE. To be fair, I’ve never felt as safe as I did in Dubai. Doha is stricter when it comes to religion, so it’s better to follow the rules, like covering your shoulders and knees (which isn’t required in Dubai). But nothing bad will happen to you there 🥰

I understand the job-related rules, but what I do outside of work should be my choice. That said, I grew up in a different environment, so it’s just a matter of perspective 🤷‍♀️

Your work envi shouldn’t have a say on your body (dont get pregnant unless I allow it), on your husband (dont get married unless I agree), on your free time (dont be outside later than 4 pm, wich means I will NEVER see a evening outside with friends), on your family (don’t invite male relatives over your place), on your clothes (never wear jeans even in your free time) etc etc. THIS IS TRASH MINDSET

Qatar is the highest salary pay in GCC to compare same job function to other airlines....

@ I never said they pay poorly. I said they have a really good salary, and I don’t know about other jobs, but the basic salary and flying hours for cabin crew are slightly higher at Emirates. Monthly, it can be the same salary as Qatar crew, who usually fly more hours per month than Emirates crew. I have a friend working there, so I’m not making this information up 🤷‍♀️

@ Let’s compare the starting salaries of both airlines. Qatar Airways: Basic salary is 3,500-4,000 QAR ($960-$1,100 USD), with a flying hour rate of 50 QAR ($14 USD). Emirates: Basic salary is 4,700 AED ($1,316 USD), with a flying hour rate of 66 AED ($18 USD). I know this information from a friend, but I double-checked by watching a Qatar crew video where they literally showed their payslips (you can easily find these videos if you search and put filter to check only past year to get relevant information). Emirates’ starting salary is listed on their official website. So yes, Emirates pays more.

My height is 155cm but I can reach the 212 mark. While applying to Emirates, I filled the first part and immediately received mail saying my application is rejected. What to do? Is there no way I'm able to apply to with 155cm or can I just put 160 in the form??

You need to be at least 160 cm to work as cabin crew, it’s a safety requirement, which is why you get an instant rejection if you don’t meet it. Even if you lie about your height in the application, they will measure it during the Open/Assessment Day and reject you. I know it’s frustrating if it’s your dream, but you need to be able to reach all the emergency equipment and close all the stowages. There’s even one for crew in the ceiling that was difficult for me to close when it was full, and I’m 165 cm tall. So really, it’s just a safety requirement(

I got hired by Qatar, super easy but left after 5 months as living in a Moose limb country wasn’t fit for me and not worth the money. I ditched Qatar for the usa and moved into tech and never looked back. Will never visit that region again apart from possibly Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel (all colonised by moose limbs)

That’s why I mentioned in the video that I would cover all the rules that made Qatar “popular,” whether they still exist or not. I also pointed out that some have been eased (curfew, minimum rest policies) or canceled (social media restrictions) under the new CEO, and the situation has improved 😊

You can try, I know a few cases where people got this job as their first, but that’s more of an exception. You don’t need a college degree, it’s not a requirement. However, you should have some work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. Most of the final interview questions are based on your previous work experience and without any, how would you answer them? 🤷‍♀️
