Well, maybe just for the toy-painted Frenzy and Buzzsaw here... I'll also wait for Soundblaster repaint with the retooled tape deck door and three new casettes - Enemy (from Rumble and Frenzy), Garboil (from Laserbeak and Buzzsaw), and Howlback (from Ravage)...

Soundwave is my favorite Transformer. My G1 Reissue + tapes reissues is one of my favourite pieces in my collection. I have Seige soundwave but need the Bumblebee version plus one of these newer Legacy soundwave. Great review as per usual brother! Hope you're doing great and take care!

Soundwave my favorite transformer too. There is just no way i'd skip this set. I hate to have missed out on the Netflix one "Live in Europe". And there was no way to get one from the stores I frequented at the time. I got a masterpiece as well, the Hasbro version with all casettes. And it just looks great having all his iconic minions. The minions complete him tbh. Soundwave never looks good without them in my opinion. Because he is just THE pet master.

If you love Soundwave like I do, then every soundwave is worth it. That said. I believe the Buzzsaw will be sought after. So that is a big selling point. Another one is that the previous one, the exclusive netflix one was hard to get. Especially outside of the USA. So for anyone wanting a tapedeck Soundwave in generations scale. There is that. Both Rumble and Ravage are okay. Though the SS86 Rumble is far superior in terms of deco. I just love the screen accurate look. I fear that when the inevitable SS86 Soundwave hits, you will only get a Laserbeak with him. And it will just be that same tape mold we already have with the laserbeak that is in the exclusive Netflix set, as well as the exclusive Takara set. But no Buzzsaw. Hasbro really is like this, same with Blaster, same with any team of figures like the Seekers and Coneheads. Hasbro just puts a figure behind a damn exclusive wall. Heck they did it with the Battle-chargers, making Runabout a target exclusive. So if your wallet allows and you really want a Buzzsaw for the generations line then this set is probably a mandatory. The Soundwave figure is good.

I think both Laserbeak and Buzzsaw looks cool and I think that the rest of the minions look very cool but for Soundwave the missiles should have been painted with red paint

I got my Legacy Soundwave, which is my 3rd overall Soundwave, just purely for Buzzsaw. I swapped Netflix Ravage's grey legs so that Legacy Ravage's legs are grey, with a black neck and painted teeth. Looks so much better. I kept WFC Laserbeak so make him more distinguished from Buzzsaw. Again, personal preference as I like Laserbeak's visor more than his earth-mode head. I might even repaint my Netflix Soundwave to Soundblaster. More of an excuse to repaint his discolored parts. I'm leaving the true blue Rumble in Soundwave's chest purely to fill his chest from the "hollow" look.

Totally get it. This set for me is just ensurance that I have a Buzzsaw. Because I fear that with the SS86 there won't be one. If they do a SS86 then it will probably have a Laserbeak, and perhaps a new Ravage or a Ratbat. But I'm saying 100% Laserbeak, and 75% Ratbat and probably a Ravage Then basically you got the whole 5 team of casettes from the movie released. Laserbeak, who did the scouting on cybertron, Rumble and Frenzy already got a release, and Ravage + Ratbat would also go with Soundwave as SS86 and it completes them.

Btw I wound't be surprised if we got a vs SS86 pack either for some figures, perhaps a Ratbat vs Ramhorn.

I already have the Netflix one that this is basically the same to, I also have Siege. I have all of the tapes included in this set except I have Laserbeak instead of Buzzsaw, and I don't care about Buzzsaw. Even with all of that, I would have considered getting this if they had fixed the damn forearms. Using the Siege forearms with the giant gaping holes and weird landing gear stuck on them is insanity if you're trying to get someone to double or triple dip (or more if you got Soundblaster) into this mold.

This guy makes sense to buy if 1) You don't have the Takara Dramatic Series one, or 2) You have a Netflix one that is turning 💩 due to the crap plastic. 3) You just don't have one.

If the little blue robot is meant to be G1 toy-accurate, then they might as well have named him Frenzy also. Also, it would have been nicer if they made Soundwave's visor/eyes yellow. I always found the yellow visor more distinctive for some reason.

This one for soundwave, the Nemesis if you love the shiny look, as well as getting a Laserbeak. If you want a set with more to it as in only Soundwave related then this set. Netflix is hard to get even secondary market.

A bit late, had it come out a year or two it would have been great but now with the 86 version coming might be worth the wait. I don't think Hasbro will reuse that mold again and has been done several times. Hopefully it will be a new mold.

$34 (voyager class figure) +$10×3 (three core class figures) = $64. The price point isnt really off from otyer figures. I had the netflix version, but SOMEONE thoughtvit would be cool to put tyevgun from Bumblebee soundwave in hisbhamd, and it got stuck... and snapped the fist in half. I knew there would be a repack/recolor, so i gave it to the childbthat broke it. I like having a walkman spundwave much nore than not having one, so it's totally worth it, and now ibhave a full set of chest minions.

It provides Buzzsaw and toy color Frenzy, which is nice. Ravage is kinda meh either way. At least they made the stripe on Soundwave's chest gold instead of yellow like Netflix, but United and DC Soundwave stand with their legs in that weird "A" stance. I just didn't see a need for Dramatic Capture set, Megatron and Soundwave will be in SS86 in the next few years, but finally a modern Buzzsaw!
