VIN starts with CE. so originally it started as a 2 WD. KE would be 4 WD from factory. Chevy started using C/K designations in. 1960

Not always true some trucks were improperly titled and you would have trucks with factory small locks that said they came with a big block so it could have been a mix up in the title

The TXB on the stamping is a 1975 350. The hei distributor came out in 74-75 as well. Awesome trucks. My Dad bought a 69 C10 4x4 bank repo in 71 or 72 after my brother totaled the Jeep station wagon. Definitely save this truck!

Happy Thanksgiving Josh. I worked in Mexico back in the mid 80's. I saw a 7-8 year old kid sitting in the engine compartment of a medium sized truck with no hood, feeding the carburetor with a gas can as it was traveling through Tijuana! Your ingenuity is amazing!

I’m jealous! The c10’s are in my opinion some of the best preforming and best looking trucks of all time! I also love the fact that you got a 1969! Good looking! If you want a 1974 f350 custom flatbed, let me know haha!

These are the first modern GM pickup cab design, but they still have nostalgia details like flat side glass and painted metal interior surfaces. '67 to '72 C10 2x4s have full coil spring suspension. Many consider these to be a hot rod with a box on back. These are lighter than newer trucks and respond well to horsepower increases. There are a plethora of aftermarket upgrades for these trucks. These trucks are what the '55-57 Chevy were to older project builders - not that those cars are being forgotten. Yet, for years the C10s were just old farm trucks.

The windshield is two pieces of glass with plastic in between. On older cars the glass can de-laminate and look cloudy on the edges. It will never be worth a ton but it looks like an easy fix, for sure worth the time. Bad gas often will not start, but will run an engine.

It doesn't have to look like new to be a good old truck. In the rust belt that C10 is a a good project truck to some people. I'd like it here in South Texas.

That’s a split master cylinder. You should have brakes on two wheels. The brake pedal will be very low. Get rid of that old gas. That will gum up the engine. Engine doesn’t sound too bad. Fuel pump replacement- not difficult. Fuel tank replacement? Easy enough in and out of the cab. C10 or K10? Maybe the fenders were replaced. Go for it - the parts you need are not expensive. And - change all the fluids. Happy Thanksgiving! Good luck with the ‘69.

I like your enthusiasm . What I do is drill a hole in the bed floor, out a grommet in it and run the fuel line to the pump through it to a boat fuel can. Sometimes I even strap it down. I often use that set up for the whole time I own the vehicle .6 gallons is plenty for my short trips. I rarely drive so no use putting fuel in the tank and having it evaporate out like it does on old cars and trucks.

I had a 1970 C10 3 speed on the tree in high school and was my primary vehicle until I was 31. I should have never sold that truck. Your truck makes me want to find one again.

"Is it worth saving" is subjective. To turn a decent profit probably not so much. To fix and enjoy it depends on how deep your pockets are and how deep you want to go into it.

Sheetmetal isn't that expensive or hard to put on. And from what I've seen a completely redone truck like that stock or otherwise bring north of $20k and doing the majority if the work yourself and a basic paint job including price of truck and spray out I believe total investment would be under 10k. And with channel size could reach out to lmc, brothers, ect for a sponsorship for either a deal on parts or even freebies

V= Flint Michigan, 04 is the month and 22 is the day of the month. TXB =1975 350 / conv.cab / L LS9-165HP 4BBL C-20 to 3500 , 3970010 is a high nickel content block and could be a 2 or 4 bolt main. The C7B "153338" denotes the VIN that would have matched the Vehicle I.D. number. Hope this helps even after 3 years. BTW I really enjoy your channel and have been watching for months catching up on your videos.. Awesome stuff

You should restore this! Doesn't need much couple rocker panels cab corners. Doesn't have to be show room quality but keep it alive.

Leave it like it is just clean it up. Those old trucks are better than the new one's. I'm not a chevy guy but I like the C10's. My cousin had a C10. We did the shade tree mechanic engine swap 6 cylinder for a Pontiac 400 V8. That thing went like a scalded dog. Had to shorten the drive shaft. Hit a deer doing 80mph in winter in that truck, hood popped up.....good times back then. Early 80's. Just ramblin.

Just finishing welding in new cab corners and rockers on mine. The new body panels can be easily modified to fit correctly, it's not all that hard. Every single piece on that truck is available brand new.
I bought a C10 with a LOCKED UP ENGINE - can I get it to RUN AND DRIVE?
