I have a theory about Izzy and Sunny being sisters! They could be related because Argyle, Sunny's dad, looks like Izzy! And plus, how does he know that unicorns are nice? Well, could be because her wife is a unicorn and Izzy is her daughter, like forgotten or something.. I have another theory about Sunny's family related to Twilight's family! I mean, where did they get those stuff from the old Equestria? It should have been from Twilight's family, to their new family, they gave those things to Argyle so that they would remember! Twilight must've been known about Sunny's future, same with Argyle about Sunny! Thanks, I hope you like my theory! 💜 Ps: I hope they will explain more in the upcoming G5 series!

Well considering that I am of the belief that Sunny and Izzy are secretly twin sisters, and that Argyle is probably descended from Twilight. Which is why he had the earth pony crystal in his possession. Although in saying that it does bring into question if the other characters entrusted with the other crystals are also possibly descended from Twilight. So with all this in mind, yes Izzy most definitely could be of royal blood. As for Hitch, well if he is a descendant of Fluttershy, then would he also be a descendant of Discord? Or does he perhaps come from Zephyr Breeze 's line. And the pegasus royal family may be descended from Flurry Heart instead of Twilight.

We know that nothing of that sort was thought up for the movie, but they intentionally left these backstory details open so the series writers can go in any direction they want. So it really depends on what the writers decide is more interesting going forward. Maybe they will think that something like that would help expand the lore in a relatable way as Izzy learns more about her past, or maybe they will think that her being "special" in some way would undermine the idea that she was just a regular girl who wanted to have friends and ended up changing everything with her decision to travel into the unknown.

My personal headcanon is that some point between g4 and g5 after twilight's reign, the legion of doom escaped their stone imprisonment, they would be directly responsible for the separation of the tribes, all claiming rulership over a tribe. Cozy Glow would name herself princess over the pegasi, thus explaining why the pegasi are the only tribe with a remaing monarch. Which would also imply that the current royal family are descendants of Cozy Glow.

If Izzy is somehow related to twilight I would love that idea. Because it would give this series more connections to FIM. Hopefully the show will go into the back story of the unicorns and how they lost their magic.

I’ve heard that the MLP G5 staff confirmed that Sunny becoming an alicorn is not a permanent thing, but whether her alicorn powers can be summoned as and when necessary is unknown. One of the early works of alicorn Sunny might give us the answer. One of the descriptions said, and I quote: “Normal braid when not using her powers” which could be referring to her alicorn form. So what I think will happen is that when Sunny has her braid out, her alicorn form appears. Edit: Okay so I have prove of this concept art description being correct. In a new Sunny toy that includes her being an alicorn, there a removable horn with it’s attached to a main that is a lose main. It’s not in a braid at all. So that is full proof that Sunny turns into an alicorn by taking out her braid.

Twilight's era was thousands of years prior to G5. They said G4 was in "Ancient Equestrian" times, which means it wouldn't be a stretch to say Sunny was Twilight's descendent through thousands of decedents prior to Sunny. Some of those descendants could have been Earth ponies. Argyle being Twilight's descendent seems fitting. Him studying his Ancient family history at the movie's beginning just feels right.

I think Sunny is more likely to become a princess(because she's the main protagonist and she has alicorn powers now) but I would love it if Izzy was a princess too. In fact why not give all the mane 5 an interesting arc that will lead to something big

could it be that Izzy is a descendant of both twilight and flash century? and it could also be said for Zipp and pipp could be descendants of say cadence? it seems weird but think bout it, but if I remember correctly, she was a pegasus before she became an alicorn, and flurry was considered a rare natural-born alicorn. so the possibility of that happening again would be slim to none

I agree with Izzy being a descendant of both Twilight and Flash but I think that Pipp and Zipp are descendants of Flurry Heart. I’d say go in a little deeper and say that Queen Haven herself is Flurry Heart. A lot of people think that this is the case. However, it is true that Flurry is an alicorn and Haven is only a Pegasus. But if there was war between the three tribes, then her horn might’ve gotten chopped off her head and blamed the unicorns and earth ponies for it.

Yepp I agree with you, and also Izzy is the only one who is so happy and cheerful even whithout any magic! She said her sparkle is too sparkly for Bridlewood which clearly states she is most different between all the other unicorns!

Yes I think there is too much princess in the forms of Pipp and Zipp. I don't count Sunny, because Argyle wasn't a king. I also don't want too many ties to g4 since for one it's a "New Generation". And for two, this time period is described to be Way farther ahead of G4's time period. I also think if Izzy were a princess, she'd have a bigger send-off when she was leaving Bridlewood when shown in Tell Your Tale.

I honestly don’t see this being possible, having all the girls being princesses would be pretty jarring and also Hitch would be overshadow. Every specie had different types of monarchy only the pegasus having royals and now that supposedly all the ponies are all together again i don’t think a ruler for every specie will be needed anymore, considering the interests of Pipp and Zipp they will left the princess life aside and Pipp will be a Full Time Singer/Influencer and Zipp probably will be more into science since those are their interests, i do see Sunny becoming a Full Alicorn in the future and also a princess having only 1 princess in the group just like G4.

So we've got the quasi-alicorn with less political power than the average pony, the twin pegasus princesses who are so disconnected from their own political power they wouldn't notice if they were overthrown and a princess who doesn't realize it.
