Trahfk McGhee lupe is anything but overrated you just don’t like complex intricate written verses with messaging, layers, substance, actual bars in metaphors and double/triple entendres because you’re not comprehensive enough to even understand a fraction of it which makes you think hes overrated. I think because of a few factors: 1) His voice is not super commanding, 2) he not talkin that ignorant shit people equate with real shit nowadays so he is written off as soft 3) historical beat selection, and 4) his tendency to delve into pop-rock-rap sonics and hooks makes purists dismiss him as poppy/mainstream. His last few albums have improved musically from his middle work.. I believe both Tetsuo & Youth and Drogas Wave are masterpieces, so he's solidified as one of the greats to me.

If you were an amateur fighter, then a pro fighter, then rose up the ranks, then got a title shot, then won a belt, then defended your belt multiple times successfully lost it won it back over a decade long career. The thing with Big is the impact. No rapper is more quoted or has those lines flipped, or can say that they definitively have 2 albums as good and definitely not better. They both have goat albums arguments in their own right. The growth from R2D and LAD may be the biggest gap in artist development ever from one album to the next. There still hasn’t been a better double disc since LAD and the only one comparable honestly is All Eyez On Me. In 2015 when Ye was talking about doing a joint album with Drake, he didn’t say it was going to be called WTT 2, it was going to be called wolves. 5. Jay benefited from WTT more than Ye, Ye dropped the best album of 2010 (now the album of the decade) in MBDTF and didn’t need to do the joint album with Jay as he was in his prime on top of the world, Jay benefited from that album more than Ye. Overall, it would be disrespectful because it was Ye’s idea to do that album. So Jay should name the album something else if he is planning to do the album with Jay Electronica.
