This man has given millions to serve his people. From bailing out protestors, to helping manage black athletes so they don’t go broke like the athletes he grew up watching, to hiring lawyers for 21 Savage, to Tidal donating 1.5m to BLM, to setting up trusts for Sean Bells family, to posting bail for fathers so they could go home to their families for Fathers Day to helping to have a case against a 6th grader dismissed. That’s just the top of the iceberg. Folk like you don’t understand how chess works & only love to criticize when it helps fit the narrative you want to paint. GTFOH He still has minority ownership in Tidal like the other artists. Now he has more money to leverage into other ventures. You people don’t understand how investing works. Was he supposed to ride Tidal to the ground until it became worthless because our people didn’t subscribe; yet would complain if he sold it? You lack critical thinking & business acumen. It was a dying service. A service that will likely still die under Jack Dorseys ownership. Out of that dying service he got $300M’s & a seat at the table of an ever growing company in Square. He won. Now he can take that money & find other ways to reinvest & continue building the culture through black ownership. But you just don’t get it do you?

Many of the biggest business titans have all sold off and bought companies repeatedly, including black men like Reginald Lewis who specialized in leveraged buyouts using very little of his own capital to own companies. But I damn sure don’t want fame to rule a poverty struck community. It’s to easy to pimp! Y’all thinking is way off. If a man been about the bag, why we ever gonna think he gives a shit about the consumer outside the money YOU generate for him. Stop idolizing these idiots. I see jay as a hostile takeover businessman- foh with this venture capital shit. His hostile relationship is YOU just like the rest of them. Ya he sounds good on wax and sells you an idea manages to fix it like it’s culture based then sells you to the house. It’s casino. It ain’t just race baiting, it’s mob ties Sam rostien type shit. He think he running shit but he runs the look. But I would lie if I think I’d do anything different. Every race on the planet do it. The difference is blacks don’t have institutional opinions- meaning more able to buy with his complexion. People merge every day. The reason it’s so hard to take from us is.... u ready? 1.We look cool doing it while being hated for looking cool doing it. And 2. He (jigga man) needs to look cooler being the guy who can push the button making it appear like his perception is the influence over the culture. In other words he still selling crack. My point is the way he's unloading from his portfolio, when we see this it's typically because someone either sees the market taking a turn to where it will damage those investments beyond what will be recoverable or they've got their eyes on something bigger. He's on the board of square, he's also looking to get into the insurance and loan space, he's invested in tech as well, he's definitely trying to make a move to more than double up his net worth very quickly off of paper value alone which will give him crazy leverage & access to resources going into future deals.

@WorldFlex Lol the purchase he made, made sense, he added value to it and sold it for more than he paid for it by far probably including things like operational costs considering it was a profitable business. In terms of his business history we've seen him make great investment after great investment, of course it's not on the level of a Buffett but that's because they're making 10-11 figure acquisitions. In terms of net worth, it has been determined that Jay is a billionaire. That doesn't mean he has a billion liquid, it means if you take all his assets minus his liabiliities and you were the liquidate everything it would equate to 1B or more. When anyone else does what someone like Jay does it's a great business move because of the entry and exit point but when he makes the move "it was bleeding him dry" you can never win with everyone
