Is Joe Espada ACTUALLY the one that decides how much Abreu plays?

Who is actually determining how much Jose Abreu is playing right now? Is it Joe Espada or is someone telling him from the top down to play Abreu and not take him out of clutch moments?

Maybe Espada just made a common coaches decision by not pinching hitting …went with experience instead of the rookie … imagine the confidence boost for Abreu if he comes up big in that situation.

Crane is going to scapegoat Espada just like he scapegoated Luhnow, Hinch, Altuve, Bregman, etc. Crane is a loser with a lot of money. Must be nice to be so lucky.

The fact this conversation exists is stupid and not because of these guys. It's stupid because lineups should be the manager's job. If the organizaiton doesn't like the lineups the manager is putting out then it's time to find another manager. In this case they need a new GM, owner and no ex ball player advisors. But we'll have to settle for being a bad team instead.
