Superman doesn’t have to be an extreme box office smash to be “successful” and WB would be very naive to expect it to. All the film needs to do is make its money back, and be good enough quality wise to get people excited for the future of the DCU. I think people are forgetting that the early MCU films weren’t exactly huge box office hits, but the films slowly built hype and became to be what we knew as the MCU at its peak.

He wasn't disrespectful imo. Dude was trying to tell an original story unrelated to the comics since the first movie. Everybody misread Joker 1's intentions. Joker 2 was just cruelly direct to the point, maybe a very dissapointing script, but it was not disrespectful, he was telling Arthur's story, not THE Joker's.

While with DC he had full creative control on TSS and it flopped financially while other streaming/covid WB film banked. And peacemaker had Secret Invasion viewership numbers. It took the entire series to reach roughly 5m. Which penguin did in 3 days with 1 episode. The keys to dc should’ve went to reeves

I think you are forgetting The DCEU'S Record. If that couldn't and didn't ruined or stopped DC Then nothing can. joker is nothing but tiny teeny bit distraction for the DC Comic Books.
