I dont think taylor is overrated i think its a mix of hes done at 140 an maybe past his peak and styles make fights. Taylor beat every champion in the division to become undisputed and guys like ramirez and prograis are serious fighers an he grinded it out against them an took the titles. But teos athletism his speed his sharpness was to much for taylor at this point. Even tho hes only had 20 pro fights taylors had alot of hard fights. Ramirez, prograis, Baranchyk,catteral even postol in his 12th fight was a hard fight for him. Them kinda fights add up physically in the long run

Lopez took more chances, didn’t hesitates and landed the cleaner, Harter blows! I gave Taylor three rounds max. No idea how they could have it almost a draw. These people need to get an IQ test

Nobody overexaggerated Taylor, his accomplishments speak for themselves. He managed to get in the WBSS with the other fighters that entered the tournament and he came out on top, proving to be the best in the division at that moment. Atlas never gave the WBSS any attention once so ever, he thinks the whole sport revolves around what he knows and doesn't know. How come Teddy doesn't bring up the ridiculous cards in that Taylor vs Ramirez fight, Taylor won that fight fair and square yet they still tried to rob him anyway.

UK teaches the European style of boxing whilst US style has more variation due to different i fluenxea such as Mexican style and Cuban etc. The standard of trainers in the UK is fairly poor compared to the US

Really? I can't see how it doesn't, in the end, create more problems than it ever solves. Above all this one: Right now, if there's issues with NV's judges, promoters can take their fights to Texas or New Jersey. Should there be a singular national commission, where are promoters going to go once its corrupted? (Soccer already tried this idea in Europe and there's not a day that goes by that they don't regret it. FIFA, in fact, is one of the most infamously corrupt institutions in the world.)

Josh has always been in razor close fights, but has luckily (for him) been given the decision. Against Prograis and Catterall you could easily put a case forward he should have two losses on his record. But the way he acts you would think his a knockout artist that dominated his opponents. I think josh is overrated but also past his prime. Josh, in his prime of 3 years ago, against this version of Teofimo, probably picks up a few more rounds but still gets embarrassed

My biggest gambling mistake all year was not betting on Teo after he lost the 1st round Taylor threw everything at him edged it on activity but it was obvious that this was the Lopez who fought Loma not the basket case who lost to Campbosa and he’s just a different level to Taylor

To my eyes, Teofimo poured it on in the closing minute or 30 seconds of the 4th round, then he dominated Taylor I think in round 6, and started to break him down from round 7 on.

Taylor beat everyone in hes division and but he couldn’t overcome the physical talent and skill of Lopez The pure Boxing ring generalship counterpunching explosive power punching were all against Taylor and he just couldn’t get into hes rhythm. When Roy jones beat Toney and Hopkins it looked like they were ordinary fighters but they are all time greats. Same thing here Taylor is going to be in a future hall of fame fighter but he he just can’t beat Lopez. Nothing wrong with that just Levels at the Elite level.

Not to take anything away from Teo but UK fighters typically are overrated. Once they fight a good, doesn’t have to be great mind you. Once those chaps fight one of our own bred fighters and even Mexicans that facade of being invincible crumbles. The best fighter they ever produced or ever had is Lennox Lewis. For as much of a punk and at times boring to watch was their best. In regards to Taylor, he just looked lost in there with Teo. Reminds me of Teo when he fought Kambosos. It seemed like he had no game plan going into this, heck perhaps he figured Teo was like a run down dog that needed to be put down. In the simplest sense, Teo looked like a natural in there. While I picked Taylor I said the same for both. They both need to win this fight. Get that confidence back up which will help them be calm in the face of a storm. If just happened to be Teofimo Lopez last week. Props and good sport after it as both were. Anthony Joshua while a decent boxer is weak mentally. The only guy people will mention or comment on is Tyson Fury. You know that fat bastard who talks, but doesn’t back it up. Usyk was ready to go at any time with him. After the stupid stipulations saying not 60/40 cut but now 70/30. He threw his own rules and how the fight will be handled. He thought Usyk and his team would decline like most would. What did Usyk say? “Okay, we fight. When fight?” Then Fury disappears. I love y’all in the UK but your peeps leave much to be desired. Have them travel to America, Mexico and Asian countries to get some fights. When most of the fights are in your backyard it happens to be like playing with house money. Yeah it’s worth something to y’all but it means nothing in regards to the world as a whole. How Taylor was an undisputed champ is what boggles the mind. I know Mr. Atlas has a lot of experience in boxing and not to go against him I'm sure he's speaking his truth. But because the judges are placed in different positions around the ring, it's very easy to see a different fight especially when we compare it to watching on it t.v.. When the boxers are moving around in the ring so are the cameras. This allows us to have the best possible view of the fight. I think judges should be in an elevated position so they look down like tennis or are given an option with fixed cameras around the ring. I'm a firm believer that when you see a problem, try to come up with solutions before we take it to the next level.

Ever since the Prograis fight, and even in the Ramirez fight, after scoring knockdowns, the balance of the fight was close showing,in my opinion, a reduced skill on reflexes and being hit..the Cattrell fight undressed him, the Lopez fight could be seen as finishing his career as a serious contender

Actually, the score wasn't that crazy.. it just seems like it was. You can't dispute that Taylor won rounds 1-3 and arguably round 4. Teofimo seemed to have taken a break in rd 10, so that's 5 rounds to Taylor. Now do the math: (5 x 10) + (7 x 9) = 113. If anything, boxing needs to update its scoring system. It was clearly invented during medieval times.

Apart from the two close cards I don't see the evidence that TR would prefer Taylor to win. Afterwards Arum looked okay with it. After Taylor v Ramirez Arum was on the verge of tears. Lopez is "special", he's box office, he's popular, he's Latino American, he's divisive, he's showbiz. I'm sure his "retirement" won't last long. I'm Scottish and Taylor isn't even that well known in Scotland. The media here hardly mentioned this fight or the Ramirez fight. Good fighter, yes, but also overrated. I had him losing both the Prograis AND Catterall fights. The fight in which he looked totally sharp was Ramirez. But I did have Taylor as 2 losses BEFORE the Teo loss. So, again, I like Taylor and think he is a good fighter. But people did overrate him as well. Mind you, I was expecting Taylor to win the Teo fight, comfortably.

Teddy being around tyson as a youth should know better than anyone that there is almost a fine line between those who are extremely gifted and those who see extremely crazy or unconventional. There is something to he said for it at times.

Trust Teddy to stick the boot in on the Brit. He can't hide his hatred of those folks. I say this as an Irishman. As for Taylor, no, he is not overrated. He beat some great fighters in his division while he was coached by the McGuigans. Ever since he left the McGuigans, his standard has nose-dived. This could be a coincidence, or it could be a cause. Either way, the Taylor that fought Teo on Saturday was *not* the same Taylor that fought Prograis or Ramirez. That version of Taylor would have trounced Teo or at the very least scored a draw. The Taylor that did fight Teo looked like a novice, especially at the end of the fight. This is not to detract from Teo's accomplishments. You can never take away his two victories against Lomachenko and Taylor, although you can criticise the guy for not re-matching Loma.

Taylor was overrated. An elite boxer can adopt and can execute changes/strategy during fights. I already seen this during Caterall fight, nothing changed from round 1 to 12, boring. Taylor won fights because of "style make fights".
