Stating that he plays the same game as in RM is a bit wild i'd say, i agree that he underperformed last 2 games but 3 players are contesting the place of the number 10 on the pitch (Foden cause he doesn't feel well on the LW, Kane who drops constantly, and Jude who plays an attacking 8 kind of play), the 10 space is so overcrowded in that team its insane, to prevent that last game he played half the game in LW thats just terrible, its as bad as playing Guehi as a number 10, I'm not trying to say that Jude's performance is okay but i think the fish stinks from the head, you can't expect him to be good playing as a LW and contesting a number 10 place when 2 other players are there, neither can Foden perform on 100% when 2 others are contesting his preffered place on the pitch and nor Kane can if he doesn't have the pacy wingers that he could supply his passes running back. Jude did not win UCL or La Liga. Real Madrid did, he just got lucky to be in a squad where everybody around him is making him look good by giving him the easy tasks. He was good at Dortmund but not great, at Real Madrid he has not been good at all, just lucky that the rest make it so easy for him. He is gotten lazy, now that the level of performance around him dropped in the english squad he looks like a blind clueless donkey who does not know what to do because he is so used others to do the hard work for him so he can sack in the assists/goals easily. He and Harry Kane are actually very bad, Harry Kane wouldn't even score as much if it wasn't for a team Like Bayern Munich with players like Musiala who do all the work so he can tap in. English squad is overrated, overpriced and overhyped. Reason why Haaland for example is doing better in the premier league than in the Bundesliga is probably because the premier league is easier than the Bundesliga. Sure the premier league is more competitive because most of the teams are sheeet! So equally sheeet teams will be more competitive to each other. Honestly right now I think the best two Leagues are La Liga and Bundesliga, followed by Seria A and Ligue A which then is followed by the Premier League. If it wasn't for Man City who is buying all the talents from Bundesliga and La Liga the prem would be not even in the discussion, you can thank players like KDB and Haaland that you guys make it in 5th place honestly. And honestly 15 years from now if everybody says Jude is the best English player of all time, that means he was the best player in the best player in 2nd Bundesliga, who cares?!?!

I mean, I think some of the tweets were fairly hyperbolic and extreme. So, having that as the foundation for the “overrated” argument is pointless. That said, it’s interesting you mentioned that with the Bellingham goal it was “it was a joy to watch him link-up with Bukayo Saka”. I’m sorry, but what was the link-up there? A deflected cross that happened to bounce well enough for Bellingham to dive for it? Where’s the link-up there? In fact, where’s the link-up anywhere? Before Slovenia, Foden had been able to find Kane only once; he’d made more successful passes to Pickford. The players from the front to the back are all struggling to find rhythm and link-up. It’s not a Jude thing. As a comment mentioned, if players are judged by how well or poorly they perform for Southgate’s England, then either they can be the best player to have ever walked the earth or excrement on a shoe. Again, this is more a managerial issue than anything else, which feels so tiresome to say at this point.

Birmingham city fan here so I should be even more bias towards jude , and ability wise he's up there with any midfielder. Though for me the thing I'm not liking which he never had on the pitch before is some petulance . He is always moaning and stropping with his head down . Now bellingham has always been confident with leadership qualities but for me I'm worried the ego is getting to him a bit much . The best midfielders in the world have full control not only of the pitch and ball but themselves too. Let the emotion erupt when you score or smash someone with a great tackle but bellingham is just looking too hot headed and bothered and this type of behaviour negatively effects the team. Bellingham was always a cool calm confident young man with a bit of bite and fight about him. But lately he's looking like a flustered hot head leaning towards arrogant who screams and shouts not to lead but to simply have a whinge. And well if you're not in control of your emotions and in the right mindset you can't get the best of your ability and that's what I'm seeing. Someone who's attitude has changed for the worst and is making him unable to utilise his ability Most people think he's the complete package who should be and is ready to be the star man for England I think this makes him over rated. As for me he's still a young player with heaps of ability and could indeed be a footballing legend but its silly for us as a nation to rely on a midfielder his age. I asked myself too cause a little over a year ago he played for Dortmund as a CDM and he was good but not world class. After his move to RM he was like a new player. But it's more than good stats what he has shown at RM. He also delights by some great skills and this harsh drive into the box to support the 'wrong niners' at RM. So for me, he is world class unless his manager in England :-(
