I'm sure someone has told you by now, but Julius Randle and his wife were just trolling on instagram, because there were Randle jerseys on sale. That "the truth will come out" post is actually an inside joke with the Knicks organization and fanbase from back when KP got traded from the Knicks to Dallas and posted that. There's a specific Knicks twitter account that everyone in the fan base hates that does obnoxious things like this sometimes. So, there isn't any actual animosity between Randle, the team, or the fanbase atm other than him not signing an extension yet, which is just business.
@ajvillegas2107Ай бұрын
The account that posted what Randle reposted is BKE a known liar in the community and someone that starts drama for clicks many fans posted randles jerseys in the shop and Randle and his wife (she posted some also) were probably trolling but I don’t believe he’ll be out of place because his playmaking is heavily underrated as long as he can know when to go for his shot and if he can be healthy for a playoff run for once
@angelob2375Ай бұрын
Knicks fan here. The disrespect Randle has gotten is insane. His playoffs have been some shit trust me we know but overall, he’s a walking 24 and 10. That doesn’t grow on trees and he provides big body for us down low. His presence and him taking away defensive attention from Brunson means so much to the team. Oh and also with the Randle jersey thing at MSG. There was another pic that came out that showed that to the left of the Brunson jerseys there was a whole bunch of Randle jerseys.

I think they should only trade him if they can get a good center. Otherwise run with him and try him at the 5 part time. As far as him being a 24 and 10, without him, those shots go to other players. If he isn't there, Bridges, OG, and Donte get more shots. I also think Randall as a Super 6th man would be awesome, but I wonder if he would do it. Going back to trading for a Center, can you imagine if they traded him for Rudy Gobert? I originally was thinking of KAT, but whoever they get has to work with Thibs, and Thibs coached KAT before, so he could either think KAT is fine, or not want anything to do with him. :D But Gobert gets a lot of hate, and the fit with him and Kat is tough. Adding Randall to the Wolves might make them better on Offense, since they aren't a streamlined offense anyway, so he wouldn't really mess up much.

Idk who folks think mikal bridges is . I think a lot of folks still look at that post trade deadline 23 stretch and think that’s who the real bridges is. Dude doesn’t have the handles or jumper or finishing ability to be a consistent go to scorer. And there’s plenty of evidence that even as the 2nd offensive option behind Booker and then behind cam Thomas post January his defense declines a lot. If you want the best version of bridges you expect 15-16 a night as a 3rd option that way you don’t see the massive defensive drop off. So shipping off Randle would be insane to me

Tired of the Randle slander, especially when it comes from casuals. Julius Randle and Larry Bird are the only 2 players in NBA history to average 20+ points, 10 rebounds, and shoot over 40 percent from the three. Randle and Bird. That's it. Randle was commanding the fifth most double teams in the entire league. He is a 3 time All Star, a walking double double, who can create is own shot. When the Knicks played the Hawks in the playoffs, Mitch Robinson was out. Randle had to bring up the ball, facilitate, and score. And who was he playing with? Nerlins Noel... Reggie Bullock... Elfrid Payton... A sophomore RJ Barrett... Past Prime D. Rose When they eliminated the Cavs. Randle, on a surgically repaired but reinjured ankle still out-muscled their twin tower line-up. And now that we got Mikal, and resigned OG, when we have a complete team you want to trade him? Casuals. Kat might be a better player, but he's soft. Say what you want about Randle, but that dude is a dawg.

Julius is not an odd fit for the Knicks. As a matter of fact the team played best in January when OG came along and Randlein the lineup. He is a good 3pt shooter, an underrated passer and a f*cking rebound machine. He's the most familiar with Thibs' system. The biggest obstacle he and the team must face is dealing with his shoulder injury. Does it affect his ability to take contact in the post? Will it affect his shot? If not though Julius should be cohesive within the offense system just fine. As far as the cryptic message is concerned, he's just trolling. If he's serious tho, NY needs to trade him ASAP.

His playoff numbers, which may not seem as atrocious if we factor in that horrendous 2021 supporting cast, are pretty bad so far but in the regular season there’s really no doubting what he consistently provides and that’s top tier secondary scoring. The Knicks are far better off going at Boston with a playoff-questionable top tier 2nd option than going at them with Brunson’s 2nd option being a guy who originally made his name on being a 3rd option DPOY candidate.

Part of the reason why Julius was even taking all of those mid-range pull-ups and threes were because RJ (as much as I loved him on the team) operated in the same spaces that he did. Even then, last year he stopped majority of those shots, played more bully-ball and, most-importantly, ALLOWED Jalen to play off-ball. People don't realize how elite JB was off the catch & shoot threes, especially after the OG trade. Julius will fit fine, the biggest concern right now is Center depth.

Don’t forget they had to fight for what they get paid today, and it’s still not proportionate to what the NBA brings in. I don’t fault the new players for getting what they deserved, I fault the NBA for having to be fought with for decades to start giving players a fair slice of the pie. Also pretty sure Shaq made more money from endorsements and post NBA TV contracts than he did solely from NBA contracts. So while he does have a lot of money, players who weren’t as famous but were fringe all stars never saw that kind of money. You even have guys from the 90s that went broke already. The Knicks can’t even get to the ECF 😂😂😂 but ppl still talk about them like they contenders 😂😂😂

Their roster physically collapsed before they could even get there. Their current roster can definitely get to the ECF.

I'm glad TNT is losing NBA rights. Loved the show for a long time, but it's degenerated into hating this generation. While pretending they'd all average 50ppg today. Even as someone who watched Magic v Bird transition into MJ, it's just tired, sad, & boring at this point.

Shaq my brother in Christ you played against some of the stiffest doofyest bigs in NBA history. One of his most iconic plays is him dunkin on one of those guys. Horacio Llamas had a job in the NBA just to foul him. Like I’m not a Gobert stan be he low key would’ve cooked in that post MJ NBA he gets so much hate it’s just weird at this point.

Shaq did not play against "the stiffest, doofyest bigs in NBA history." Idk where you got that from. Which era are you talking about?
@SupadupasebasАй бұрын
@@urbaindelva7869 after Olajuwon, Ewing, and Robinson declined and retired which is before Dwight Howard became the best center in the league it’s not an era but it was a substantial amount of years after the lockout. Like just lookup the starting bigs for those teams it really bad imo.

Can someone please explain why Julius gets a bonus for “showing up in the regular season/falling off in the postseason” when routinely people get ranked lower for the inverse? When being a big contributor in the playoffs is unquestionably more important? Just doesn’t make any sense. I don’t care about the knicks or Julius, just seems like a terrible reason to back him…

Totally agree about Shaq, I've thought this for a while. I think Shaq may be a vulnerable narcissist. He tells stories about how his dad treated him and how he grew up. I think that led to it. So many examples like they way he's treated Bill Walton, Donovan Mitchell, Jokic after he won his 3rd MVP, Gobert, Charles Barkley at times. I also think Lebron is a grandiose narcissist. You look at all the bold faced lies he tells to make himself seem like superman. And (probably) taking PEDs and lying about that. And how he calls himself the king and the chosen one. How he has been treated has led to that too. That's just my theory.

Okay, pump the breaks on the shaq hate lol.. I think hes tough on these players because he grew up in the gen where you would be insulted for being soft on the court and shaq is competitive.. has he made things personal? absolutely but i think he just wants to see the best centers rise up. He's done a lot for the black/poor community, he buys a bunch of kids Christmas gifts every year, he by all accounts is great to work for and with(outside of basketball) , and hes done alot for the victims of the plane crash and for shootings.. i dont know how someone like that can be a db*g
@aricrudd6579Ай бұрын
Not only are you wrong about why he constantly insults modern centers, being charitable doesn’t make someone not a jerk. Shaq is a petty hater, plain and simple. The way he comports himself is honestly pathetic.
