@drosims7993 they lose in finals cause KD and Klay go down. Next year KD leaves, all 3 (Klay, Curry, Draymond) were injured at one point. Next year curry had crazy numbers but lose in play ins. Next year they win a chip. The whole time they saying Curry won't win again with KD. KD since those finals hasn't been out the first round (give him 1 year of grace for his injury too)... If Curry hadn't been out the first round since 2019 they would be eating him alive. Lebron went to 8 straight, move to LA got a groin imjury and they started bashing immediately. Saying father time is undefeated. Then he won the next year. KD is of their same caliber but don't get the same level of criticism. Even without Beal, him and D Book should be able to get to the conference finals this year. If not it's another failure.

IMO, Durant, Steph, and LeBron have defined the last two decades of basketball and are top 10 all time. Of the three, the media definitely likes to portray KD as the villain and are slower to give props over LeBron and Steph who they don't seem to blame for being on losing teams. But whatever, I would have LOVED to see prime KD+KG on a team!

KD isn’t under appreciated because anyone who knows hoops would say he’s an All-time great. The issue comes when KD says things like “I don’t know why I’m not in the GOAT conversation”, and people say you’re a hater when you dissect his career. Yes it’s nitpicking, but most of us have our All-time list and when comparing players the margin is so slim that you have to nitpick.

KD is not an all time great, I believe everyone is having multiple conversations, in regard to KD. He’s a great scorer and one of the most consistent scoring threats. Now, that makes him a HOFer first ballot. Intangibles? The name of the game is winning. He does not do that. Every season, we can say why a team and multiple teams don’t win the chip. Thing is, every team has to go through adversities. In my humble opinion, the reason he’s not a great are intangibles. And that’s ok! I appreciate his greatness and authenticity. Every great player does not have to be in the Goat conversation.
