Never seen his prime, it was only his 3rd season when he won MVP. He had so much more room to grow as a player to reach his prime. The man Probably would have won more MVPs.

There’s a lot famous Chicagoans…But the names I’ve heard the most over the years, Chaka Khan,Isiah Thomas,Bernie Mac,Kanye West and D Rose…D Rose style of play mirrors the infamous Englewood neighborhood…I’ve seen that toughness,form on his jumper and speed off the dribble back in the 70s…He’s Chicagos native son, and that’s why we cheer for.

I keep hearing about players having the flu playing against MVP D Rose but I look back at the game logs and nobody of worthy was trying to dodge him. Can anybody else do some research because I’m finding nothing of players avoids D Rose. It’s mostly players that are not in the rotation and players that are expected to be out vs D Rose.

is speed and quickness, combined with his change of direction, ball handling, ability to jump well off one or two feet and, stop on a dime, finish at the rim around or through contact, and get downhill like a ball shot out of a cannon was transcendent. People compare Ja to him and Ja is an exhilarating athlete but he would not be able to withstand D.Rose. He was too big, too strong, and too fast for any PG. Westbrook would be the best comparison in terms of how his career could played out but Russ didn't have the ball handling and finishing like Rose.

He wasn’t even in his prime yet really. He won MVP in 2010-2011 (3rd year) and then played 39 games the next year and after that played 10. He was done as far as being the MVP D Rose.

It's a trend to downplay the legends of the past but you got some that just can't invalidate and Rose one of them ones. Not a single point guard that was athletically superior since then because we only saw him before he got to his peak.

These guys made a few big checks getting overpaid and now don’t even wanna play overseas cause of dumbass shows like this that 12 year olds watch and pad Guys pockets who like I said I know guys that …. Nvm anyway dudes get overpaid by the league and then paid again by 13 year olds and there views and sleep well at night. This is why the NBA is in decline. Don’t listen to me look up the numbers.

look man, i grew up during the Jordan years in chicago and remember them vividly....but the D rose era was the most exciting era of basketball for me. I dont know what it was about him or about that team or about that coach but goddamn, it was like basketball poetry. Even without championships, those years of bulls basketball were just fucking electric.
