Kisumu will be overtaken even by Nakuru in the near future, that city has stagnated and hasn't attract major investment. They need to think of a formular to attract companies and businesses there. They should diversify its economy like Nairobi and stop relying on Agriculture maybe industrialize it so they can see major major changes but as of now kisumu is very slow and is lagging so much they should remove the city status infact

What are you saying? Comprehensive information is key. There is alot going on this fast rising city. Let's not even get into the blue economy.

What evidence do you have that kisumu is growing slowly. Give us an evidence.. or else stop lying. Nakuru alone cant come close to kisumu in terms of development or even planning. kisumu has a big advantage due to its stratergic location.. it will just have to develop and its doing so despite naysayers like you. your opinions are welcome

@ I hear you, and I appreciate your perspective. Kisumu does have potential, especially with the blue economy, but I still feel there's room for more aggressive diversification and industrialization to truly maximize its growth. The pace compared to cities like Nakuru feels slower, and attracting large-scale investments across various sectors could make a big difference. I'd love to hear more about the initiatives you think are driving Kisumu's rise maybe I'm overlooking some key developments!

@ Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I’m not trying to undermine Kisumu’s potential or its strategic advantages, which are undeniable. My comment was more about the need for a diversified economy and stronger efforts to attract major investments. For example, other cities like Nakuru are seeing rapid development with industrial parks and infrastructure projects. Kisumu could benefit from similar initiatives to complement its existing strengths like agriculture and the blue economy. I'd be interested to hear your take on specific projects or plans driving Kisumu’s growth it’s always great to learn more!

Thi town ia a serious joke. Nothing like a city here. Big fat joke!

as someone who moved from Nairobi to Kisumu, I find you calling Kisumu a joke is such an insult to it. Ask many Nairobians and they'll tell you they'd rather settle there.
